After a little research, Trina and Aisha discovered that the pack had been in existence for
fifteen years. The pack was considered novel and upcoming. Remarkably, the Safe Haven pack was endorsed by the Elder Council. They would occasionally send wolves to the Safe
Haven pack.
Three months into their stay in the pack, the council sent a seven–year–old orphan, Alpha
female named Vera. Her pack had been massacred and she was the only remaining member.
She had managed to make it to an estranged Aunt’s pack. However, fearful of keeping her,
they contacted the Council for assistance. She quickly became Aisha’s shadow. They quickly
added a twin bed to her and Trina’s bedroom. All five housemates got along so well.
Santana and Vera quickly became best friends. They had tons of play dates.
Trina even joked that they could be mother and daughter. They did favor each other a lot. They
quickly started training Vera how to fight. Aisha and Trina both knew that they would kill for
her. Vera would now become part of the package deal. If someone wanted one of them, they
would have to accept all three or no deal. Aisha drafted her will to leave Vera everything. She
officially adopted Vera. She made Trina her guardian and trustee in the event of her death.
Also, there were no Mating Balls held in the pack. The pack had voted on it and all the
members voted against it. This was a relief to Aisha. However, the Elder Council declared if
the pack ever reached the 500 mark, they would have to revisit the issue of Mating Balls.
Aisha did not want to go to a Mating Ball, period. So as the pack grew, she became happy and
nervous.
Especially, since her ex- mate was still hunting her. She didn’t want to attend one. Plus, she
knew she had a 50/50 chance of getting a second chance mate. Honestly, she still didn’t know
how she felt about the matter. What she knew was she was enjoying her life. She had achieved her goals.
She, Vera and Trina would leave the pack twice a month. They would have a spa day. They
would treat themselves to a hotel room, a movie night and a fancy dinner. After being locked
away for four years, Aisha would never allow herself to be completely gridlocked on a piece of
land again, even if she had a crazy ex–searching for her.
Trina was on the fence too, since she had never really seen or experienced a good healthy
mate bond.

A lot of the pack members don’t want to find their second chance mates. Even Betty Mae and
Petra Rose are on the fence. Most people are very happy and content in the pack and honestly
don’t want to rock the boat. Nevertheless, women out number the men in our pack and it has
always been that way. A couple of people are in relationships and others just be hooking up
from time to time. While others have no interest to be with someone whether it’s just physical
or romantic.
Trina, Aisha, Betty Mae and Petra Rose were not interested in casual s*x and were still virgins.
They had yet to experience their first heat, too. Everyone thought it was weird that they had not experienced one yet. They were plain not interested in changing that status, yet.
The pack library was tiny but it held some great gems. In addition, it held information on the Safe Haven pack for the past fifteen years. Alpha Zane and Luna Bobby Christina have only
been a couple for ten years.
Benjamin and Aisha worked hard every day, improve everyone’s skillset. However, they soon discovered that Benjamin was quite the ladies‘ man. He didn’t want a relationship but didn’t
mind being a maintenance man for any woman in need.
Aisha and Trina have been a part of the pack for twelve solid months, now. They are both very content. They know every pack member and everyone knows them. They are spotted around the pack quite often wearing huge kool–aid grins. Her wolf Topaz has been in such a jovial mood. She laughed a lot with Vera, Betty Mae, Petra Rose and Trina. She had finally gotten Betty Mae and Petra Rose to start tagging along on their twice–a–month girls outings. She still enjoyed their living arrangement and even viewed them as family. We have had forty more join
the pack now.
Alpha Zane and Luna Bobby Christina have been traveling back and forth to the Elder Council
due to this turn of events. Everyone is nervous.
She and Trina are still in contact via email with Shelly and Holly. Shelly is doing well in the Black Mantle pack in Montana. Turns out her fate mate, Carlos, was the Gamma of the Pack. He is Mexican, handsome and kind. Shelly is totally in love with him. Holly got out and went to the Black Mantle Pack, too. Her mate turned out to be the Delta of the pack. Her fate mate, Laz, is Cuban. They want us to come visit them. Trina and I have been thinking about it. They said not many black folks in Montana or the pack. However, there are plenty of ASF Latino
brothers and Native Americans to go around.
Aisha and Trina were able to witness a few couples approach Alpha Zane and ask for permission to be chosen mates. He never declined a mating request. Alpha Zane was just happy to see them in love with each other. Hence, they are able to start a new life with each.

Every couple got a small wedding and every pack member attended to celebrate with them.
There was plenty of dancing and laughter, it was a beautiful event each time.
Aisha even broke down and got Trina, Vera and her new phones with new numbers. They had
thrown their old phones away before leaving Juve. However, they still refused to participate in
social media. However, they did Facetime their friends.
Unfortunately, Alpha Hudson and Beta Boris were still searching for her.
She finally had peace of mind and was truly happy. Her life had turned out better than she had
hoped for in finding like–minded people, good people to whom she could call friends. She had
successfully built a life. She had even returned to the passion she’d had when she was fifteen,
again. She started dancing, again. She was even able to start teaching beginner’s dance
classes once a week in Tap, Modern Dance, Hip Hop and Yoga in town with the humans. She
had always loved to dance. She had always taken lessons even as small child. Her love for
music and dancing had helped to keep her sane in the detention center.
She even bought and traded stocks on the stock market. She built a large nest egg for the
future. She started giving the Alpha and Luna money to help with the pack. Since so many
come with nothing, not even clothes or shoes. She knew the pack was not rich. She knew that
the Alpha and Luna were trying to meet everyone’s needs, but it wasn’t easy.
