Celeste POV:
Why did it turn out like this?
I really want to go back to two years ago, to that carefree time.
“I’m here, I’m here,” he responded tirelessly to me.
I knew that his tenderness at this moment was just a fleeting moment. I shouldn’t have any close contact with him anymore, but also I couldn’t help but want to hold onto that tiny bit of warmth.
Dominic, it would be so good if you were still you.
Third POV:
Dominic woke up just before dawn and felt an extra person in his embrace before even opening his eyes.
Thinking about the pile of empty wine bottles he drank last night, he had a good tolerance for alcohol, and combined with his self–control, he would never have a blackout from drinking.
His head was pounding, and he couldn’t remember what happened last night no matter how hard he tried. He felt uneasy and even dared not open his eyes to face it.
It wasn’t until he mentally prepared himself that he opened his eyes and breathed a sigh of relief when he saw
Celeste in his embrace.
But the next second, he realized their current situation and immediately wanted to push the woman’s body away
forcefully.
Just as he was about to pull his arm away, his gaze suddenly fell on Celeste’s face, and his movement stopped.
How long has it been since he quietly looked at her like this? Thinking back to their recent encounters, when were they not tense?
Without the enhancement of makeup, her snow–white complexion was hard to hide.
Although she was already fair before, isn’t this too excessive? It could even be described as pale as paper.

A self–mocking smile appeared on Dominic’s lips, indicating that she no longer believed in him.
At the thought of this, an unnamed anger surged in his heart, and Dominic forcefully withdrew his arm.
Celeste quickly opened her eyes. When she just opened her eyes, her gaze was confused, like a little cat, looking at
the world in a daze.
Innocent and beautiful.
It wasn’t until her gaze focused on Dominic’s handsome face that her expression suddenly changed, and the first thing she blurted out was, “You were drunk and insisted on clinging to me.”
The beautiful scene of the two embracing in sleep suddenly disappeared.
Dominic’s face darkened, and his voice was still hoarse from just waking up. “I know, if I were even slightly sober, I wouldn’t have hugged you.”
To cover up the awkwardness, Dominic took the clothes and went into the bathroom first, while Celeste quickly tidied up the scattered hair on the bed after he closed the door.
Dominic unbuttoned his shirt with anger, thinking about what a big deal this was. Clearly, they were still husband and wife, so why did he have to explain anything when hugging her?
Thinking it over, he also felt that he didn’t handle it well just now. When he was about to throw the shirt into the dirty laundry basket, his thumb touched a black hair.
If it were just one hair, he wouldn’t have paid much attention to it, but there were scattered black hairs all over his arm. He roughly counted them, and there were about twenty–something.
