We were all stunned, until Grace stormed over and yanked Alice by the hair. That’s when we snapped back to reality.
“How dare you lie to me! You caused our pack to lose the only heir! Give me back my granddaughter!”
“Mom, what are you talking about?!” Jonah was confused, trying to pull his mother away.
“It’s her fault! She made a deal with the witch and went back on her word. That’s why you both were cursed! She’s been lying this whole time, she’s not pregnant, and now she’s the reason we lost our granddaughter!”
Looking at this chaos, I was speechless.
“Don’t you think you have any responsibility in this?”
I mocked.
“You heard the baby’s heartbeat, yet you still dragged me into that abortion.”
“The ones responsible for this are you and Alpha Issac.”
With that, I grabbed Ethan’s hand and left, leaving them behind to cry and shout.
I won the silver medal in the dance competition.
Mrs. Reed looked at me with some regret.
“If you weren’t pregnant and had trained harder during that time, you could have won the gold medal.”
But I was satisfied. Winning the silver was enough to prove my abilities.
As I stepped off the plane, Ethan was waiting for me with a bouquet of flowers.
“Little tramp, congratulations! I didn’t think you’d actually win.‘
I was grateful to him.
If it hadn’t been for him exposing Alice’s bribing of the judges, I would have never gotten the chance to compete.
“I should be thanking you,” I said. “Without you, I would have had no chance of participating.”
Ethan smiled, a hint of mischief in his eyes.

“Well, you can thank me properly. How about treating me to a meal?”
“Of course, no problem. Don’t just settle for one meal–ten meals would be fine. You fed me so much when we were kids, consider this paying you back.”
I thought he was joking, but to my surprise, Ethan eagerly accepted.
As we left the airport, I saw Jonah holding a bouquet of flowers, waiting for me.
He rushed over, sweat glistening on his forehead.
“Mia, congratulations on your award!”
He handed me the flowers, but I didn’t take them.
I didn’t even glance at him, replying curtly.
Ethan, knowing exactly what was happening, asked me, “Aren’t you going to say anything?”
“He’s just a stranger. There’s
the need to talk.”
Behind us, Jonah stumbled and fell to the ground.
He covered his face with his hands, tears streaming between his fingers.
He had lost his child and his mate.
Now, he realized he had nothing left.
Ethan drove me to my apartment.
To my surprise, my parents, Benjamin and Abigail, along with Alice, were already waiting by the door, having broken into my apartment.
“You heartless thing! You took Alice’s trophy, and now you’ve ruined her career in the dance world! How could you be such a vicious sister?”
I remained expressionless and opened my phone to show them the severance of ties declaration.
“I have no relation to the Blood Moon pack anymore. Please don’t bother me again, or I’ll call the
police.”
Alpha Benjamin and Luna Abigail were left speechless.
Alice turned her gaze to Ethan, pouting as she looked at me.
“Mia, no matter what, you’re still our patents‘ biological daughter. Alpha Ethan, don’t you think

you should persuade her? She’s so unfilial. How could she be a good wife if she’s like this?”
I could tell Alice had abandoned Jonah and was now trying to charm Ethan.
To my surprise, Ethan raised his hand, signaling for his beta and warriors to come over, stood in front of me, protecting me.

“Don’t worry. My pack’s warriors are on their way. They’ll make sure they leave. As for you, I’ve seen enough of these conniving women. Just looking at you makes me sick. You think you can still make it in the dance world? As long as I’m here, you’ll never have a chance!”
At that moment, I didn’t know how to describe the feeling in my heart.
Someone was actually protecting me.
Alice broke down in tears as Ethan scolded her. When his warriors arrived, they forced them all to
leave.
Later, he demanded they not only pay for the broken door lock but also compensate me for
emotional distress.
After that day, I thought Alice would quiet down.
But I didn’t expect her to incite Benjamin and Abigail to make this public, even streaming it online.
Before I could clarify anything, Ethan stepped in with childhood photos of me, defending me.
I stared blankly at the photos, asking him, “You’re the one who sent these?”
“How do you have so many photos of me?”
The photos showed me devouring food in the summer, wearing thin clothes in the winter while being kicked out of the house, and videos of me dancing barefoot.
There were many painful memories I had forgotten, but Ethan had kept a record of them all.
“I started out thinking it was amusing. Later, I realized that someone so unyielding was incredibly
beautiful and captivating.”
I didn’t know how to respond to that.
But I knew it wasn’t about being unyielding–it was simply me trying to get a meal.
The next day, their scandal spread like wildfire. Everyone was attacking them, and even the pack’s reputation was affected.

Eventually, the Blood Moon pack’s beta defeated Alpha Benjamin in a challenge and became the new Alpha of the pack, expelling the three of them.
The day Ethan and I got married, a shadowy figure appeared outside the hotel.
He stood alone, gazing at me in my wedding dress.
He only dared to show himself in the corner, too ashamed to stand in the sunlight.
That radiant, unconditional love had vanished from his life.
He was destined to be alone, tortured by his own mistakes.
And I had found the light in my life–someone who would protect me.
