Unwanted The 5
Chapter 5
“Sorry, Alpha, the type of surgery is patient confidentiality. We are responsible for keeping this information private,” the nurse responded.
Her answer didn’t satisfy Jonah.
He continued to press, beads of cold sweat starting to appear on his forehead.
“I’m a family member. I have the right to know what surgery she’s undergoing!”
“If you’re a family member, then you should already know what surgery she’s having. There’s no need to ask us nurses,” the nurse replied.
Not getting an answer only increased the panic in his chest.
Jonah–marched toward the closed operating room door and began banging on it with all his might.
“Open the door! Open the damn door!”
His eyes had turned red without him noticing.
The images from earlier kept flashing through his mind.
He had a terrible premonition, and his wolf, too, was furious, wanting to charge in and stop the
surgery.
But the surgery had already begun, and there was no way to stop it.
Jonah’s parents and the werewolves appeared, stopping him.
“Stop making a scene! We’re helping you get revenge! She’s the one who caused our pack to lose its
heir. You’ve been deceived by her!”
Jonah was stunned, his eyes turning bloodshot.
“What have you done to her? What are you talking about?”
“You’ll know when the surgery is over,” Jonah’s father, Alpha Isaac, calmly replied, signaling for others to drag him away.
Lying on the bed, my numbed brain faintly heard Jonah’s shouting.
Tears flowed from the corner of my eyes, and I soon fell into a daze, drifting into unconsciousness.
When I opened my eyes again, Jonah was standing by my bed.

It seemed like he had been there for a long time.
His eyes were bloodshot.
When he saw me awake, he immediately sat on the chair beside the bed, his hand instinctively reaching for my forehead.
I instinctively recoiled, struggling to distance myself from him with my weak body.
Jonah froze for a moment.
His hand paused in mid–air, disbelief and trembling in his voice.
“You’re avoiding me? Why?”
Unexpectedly, he still had the nerve to ask why!
I remained silent.
Fear suddenly flashed across his face, and he looked scared.
“Mia… why aren’t you speaking?”
“Is there still a need to talk?”
My hoarse voice broke through the silence, and Jonah’s lips pressed into a straight line.
He felt as though something was gradually slipping away from him, and hastily changed the
subject.
“Mia… what surgery did you undergo?”
Even though Jonah tried to hide his emotions, I could still see the panic and fear in his heart.
In a weak voice, I replied.
“Don’t you already know? Why ask me what it is? Are you afraid to face the reality?”
“Why don’t you just ask your parents? They know more than I do.”
Jonah suddenly slumped back in his chair.
The screeching sound of the chair scraping against the floor filled the room.
He was panting, his eyes filled with the absurdity of the situation.
This was his child–something so hard to conceive, and both of us knew how precious it was.

He stood up abruptly.
His gaze fixed on me, and he yelled hysterically.
“Why, Mia? Why did you want to get rid of this child? You know my health is poor, and this child was hard to conceive. Why do you want to kill him?!”
I opened my pale lips and smiled.
A brilliant smile spread across my face.
Finally, Jonah was tasting the pain of heartbreak!
It seemed he still didn’t know that this was his parents‘ doing.
I laughed until I could barely breathe, and my face slowly grew cold.
But since I had agreed to the abortion in the first place, I did not deny it.
“Why, Jonah? Why do you ask why?”
“A child who isn’t loved… why should they even exist in this world?”
“Should they suffer? Should they endure the scorn of the world? Be despised by their own father? Or looked down upon by their family?”
“Since no one wants them to be born into this world, it’s better to not bring them into the world. Everyone would save themselves the trouble.”
I spoke a series of words that caused Jonah to collapse into his chair.
The chair couldn’t support him and fell to the ground with a loud crash.
He covered his face and shook his head.
“No,
that’s not it. I love this child. How could I not love him?”
“He’s the product of you and me, he’s unique to me! How could you bear to get rid of him?”
I mustered all my strength to prop myself up against the headboard.
My cold voice shattered whatever pride Jonah had left.
“For someone like you, nothing is unique–not even your so–called love.”
Jonah, as if driven mad, shook his head violently.

He looked at me with a bewildered expression, as though trying to find a way to counter my words.
But I just coldly stated one sentence that left him speechless,
“If he really was your unique treasure, you wouldn’t have ignored him entirely. You wouldn’t have been so eager to make me your blood bag, donating blood for Alice, and even preferred to make her soup instead of looking at us.”
As soon as I finished speaking, the door to the room swung open.
Jonah’s parents entered, their faces smug with satisfaction.
