Chapter 339 Fearless

Woman

“You’ve certainly inherited your grandfather’s spirit-fearless and audacious,” Nigel said, his gaze sharp with disapproval.

He let out a cold, dismissive snort. “You’re the first person daring enough

to ever threaten me.”

Renee tilted her head with a playful smirk. “Oh? My apologies, then.”

“Humph!”

There wasn’t a shred of sincerity in her apology. If anything, it carried an

unmistakable trace of amusement.

Nigel’s tone turned frigid. “Ms. Carter, what gives you the impression that I’d ever yield to blackmail? I have lived with integrity all my life. The only blemish on my name is my own defiant child. If you believe you can use that against me, you’re sorely mistaken.”

A flicker of mischief gleamed in Renee’s eyes. Moving with deliberate ease, she reached into her bag and retrieved a document, lifting it with a casual

wave.

Nigel’s brows knitted together.

Renee exuded the confidence of someone who held all the power. “Perhaps this will change your mind.”

His gaze latched onto the document, his composed exterior wavering for a split second before he quickly masked it with feigned indifference. “What

is this?”

Renee let out a soft chuckle as she flipped open the file, pulling out a

14:59

photograph. “Looking familiar? I’ve got more.”

The image captured Nigel standing beside a young boy.

“Do you truly believe your pristine reputation will remain untarnished if these photos surface?”

“You-” A storm of anger, alarm, and disbelief flashed across Nigel’s face. He hadn’t anticipated Renee uncovering this.

“The boy in the picture doesn’t seem to be your son, but he seems closely linked to some of your… business. If this gets out, do you really think your so-called integrity will stay intact?”

Nigel’s face turned deathly pale. His fists tightened at his sides, veins bulging against his temples..

“What exactly do you want?” he asked, his voice low and strained.

Renee’s playful smirk vanished, her expression growing solemn. “Mr. Olson, I respect you. But I had no other choice.”

Nigel’s glare was cold and unyielding.

Renee met his gaze steadily. “I can make these photos disappear-for good. No one will ever trace them back to you.”

His eyes darkened with suspicion.

“And,” Renee added smoothly. “I can also clean up the mess your son made. What do you say?”

A heavy silence stretched between them. The fury in Nigel’s face slowly eased, though his wariness remained.

“How do you plan to handle it?” he finally asked.

Renee’s confidence never wavered. “I have my ways.”

The moment Nigel left, Renee’s phone buzzed. Ryland. She answered, and

his anxious voice came through immediately.

“Renee, how did it go? Did you talk to my godfather? You didn’t… get into a fight with him, did you?”

His voice wavered with uncertainty. He knew all too well how explosive both Renee’s and Nigel’s tempers could be.

Renee laughed, “Do you seriously think I’d start a fight with an old man? Relax, he is fine. At most, he’s just…”

She trailed off, and Ryland’s stomach dropped. “What? What happened?”

Renee chuckled. “He might be a little… shaken. Nothing major.”

The more casually she spoke, the more his worry deepened. Without hesitation, he ended the call and dialed Nigel.

The second Nigel picked up, he exploded. “You little rascal! Look at the kind of company you keep! That Carter girl is sharp-calculating! Don’t you dare let her drag you down with her!”
