Chapter 329 All I Want Is

You

“Sylvia, tell me what you really want!” Jarrod’s words came out almost through gritted teeth.

Since Sylvia had left, he had kept up a calm facade, but no one knew the truth. Every time she crossed his mind, he felt a gnawing hunger to track her down, to tear her heart open, and see what was hidden inside.

But now, here she was, standing in front of him, and he had no idea how to

react.

Worse still, she was looking at him with that soft tenderness, saying, “If I told you all I want is you, would you believe me?”

Jarrod slammed his fist into the steering wheel, a roar of frustration escaping him. “Do you really think I’d believe that?!”

Sylvia smiled bitterly, her voice quiet. “No, you wouldn’t. And honestly, if it were me, I wouldn’t believe it either.”

Jarrod’s veins bulged on his forehead as he stared at Sylvia, his eyes hard, as if trying to see through her. His voice cracked with long-held pain and resentment. “From the moment you betrayed me, you should’ve known- there was no going back. Did you think a few honeyed words, saying you want me, would somehow erase everything that’s happened?”

Sylvia’s eyes reddened, tears threatening to spill but stubbornly held back. “Forget it,” she whispered, her voice barely a breath. “No matter what I say, it won’t change anything. You won’t believe me, so just do whatever you

want.”

Jarrod sneered, his lip curling.

His teeth ground together. “Very well!!”

With that, he slammed his foot on the accelerator, and the car shot forward like a wild stallion. The streetlights and trees blurred into streaks of light, the world outside a dizzying rush,

The air inside the car felt thick, the engine’s roar echoing off the walls like

a growl.

Sylvia was jolted back by the sudden speed, her hand shooting out to grip the seatbelt. Her knuckles went white from the force,

She dared a quick look at Jarrod. His lips were tight, his jawline carved and unyielding, eyes blazing with raw fury,

He was furious.

The car finally came to a halt, the silence after the engine’s roar almost deafening. Sylvia was still disoriented when the passenger door was wrenched open. Without a word, Jarrod bent down and, in one swift motion,

threw her over his shoulder!

The sudden weightlessness made Sylvia gasp, her body instinctively jerking as she fought against his grip. “Jarrod, put me down!” she shouted.

But he didn’t respond, striding forward with purpose, her body still draped

over his shoulder.

Sylvia’s hair whipped wildly in the wind, each strand pulling at her like it had a mind of its own. Despite being completely alone, she felt her cheeks

burn with a mix of embarrassment and frustration.

Jarrod kicked the door open, his steps firm, and tossed Sylvia onto the plush sofa like she weighed nothing.

Sylvia sat up, awkward and disheveled, her hair tangled and eyes wide with confusion. “Jarrod, what are you doing?” she demanded.

He loomed over her, chest rising and falling with each heavy breath. His

gaze was searing, like fire itself. He was furious, but something about the innocence in her eyes seemed to put the flames out, if only for a moment.

Jarrod’s voice was sharp, distant. “Didn’t you say I could do whatever I wanted? You’re something else, Sylvia. You’re the first woman to make me this angry.”

As he spoke, he loosened his collar and took a slow step toward her.

Sylvia felt a flicker of fear in her chest, but instead of pulling back, she lifted her chin, meeting his gaze head-on.

Jarrod crouched in front of her, his hands planted on either side of the sofa, his arms closing in around her. “This time, Sylvia, I’ll lock you in my world. There won’t be any escaping.”

Sylvia’s hands shook, but she forced a smile. “Okay,” she replied, her voice

steady.
