Chapter 322 You’re Even More Charming

“What did you just say?” William’s voice carried disbelief.

He was caught off guard. No one had ever asked him for a photo taken with them before. It felt strange.

The two girls were already flustered when they heard Renee’s chuckle from inside the car. They had seen the gossip circulating online and knew about her connection to William. They hadn’t approached him with any hidden agenda. They just wanted a picture with the famous William Mitchell to flaunt on Instagram.

But they hadn’t expected Renee to be there too.

This was beyond awkward.

The girls hesitated before slightly bending down to apologize. “Ms. Carter, we’re really sorry. We didn’t know…”

Renee gave them a warm smile. “It’s fine. You just want a photo, right? Do you want me to take it for you?”

One of them hesitated. “Oh, no, that’s too much trouble.”

She looked ready to back out, but her friend grabbed her arm.

Renee noticed the exchange. It was harmless. Just the excitement of young girls. She didn’t mind. But William, hearing her offer to take their picture, clearly did. His expression darkened, and he shot her a warning look.

She ignored him, acting like she hadn’t noticed. Instead, she cheerfully suggested, “Do you want the car in the background?”

The girls instantly lit up, momentarily forgetting William’s brooding presence. “Really? We can?”

“Of course!” Renee said without hesitation.

William cleared his throat, a quiet sign of protest.

They were asking for a photo taken with him, yet no one seemed to mind. what he thought about it. Why was that?

Before he could dwell on it, Renee shot him a warning look. His confidence wavered instantly.

“Move a little closer, girls. Why are you standing so far apart? And smile for the camera. William, what’s with that serious face? You should smile too.”

William was at a loss for words.

Now she wanted him to smile?

He was already doing his best not to lose his patience.

“All done.” Renee handed the phone back to the girls.

They took it, but instead of leaving, they hesitated. Their eyes flickered

toward William.

Renee suppressed a laugh, assuming they still had something to say to him. But then, one of them shyly spoke up. “Mr. Mitchell, could you take a picture of us with Ms. Carter?”

William froze.

Renee blinked, unsure if she had misheard.

Without a word, William took the phone. His expression softened as he nodded.

“Of course,” he replied.

Renee had never been the type to take many photos, and posing with

other girls was even rarer. Back in school, most of them had kept their distance from her.

This was a first. She felt a little uneasy, and suddenly, William’s earlier awkwardness made perfect sense.

“Thank you, Ms. Carter! You’re even prettier in real life than in photos,” one of the girls gushed.

“That’s very nice of you to say that! You two are also absolutely adorable,” Renee responded with a warm smile.

The girls beamed and skipped away, their excitement bubbling over.

Renee watched them go, her smile lingering. William glanced at her and asked softly, “Are you really that happy?”

She nodded. “They’re just so young and full of life. It’s nice to see.”

William’s voice was calm as he said, “You were even more charming when

you were their age.”

Renee turned to him with a skeptical look. “Are you serious? Weren’t you

the one who found me the most annoying back then?”

Instead of answering, William simply smiled and got back into the car.

Renee hurried after him.

“Wait! What does that mean? William, don’t just walk away. Explain
