Chapter 312 I Have Questions For You
Renee fished out her phone from her pocket and flicked on the camera to start recording. Her chest tightened as she watched. Sally, belly round and heavy, wasn’t holding back at all.
An engine rumbled in the driveway.
Renee shoved her phone away. The moment Caitlyn cracked open the door, she raised her voice. “Mr. Carter, you’re back! What brings you home so early today?”
Nixon had arrived. Perfect timing.
Renee’s fingers curled into her palm in amusement. What would he do if
he found another man here in his wife’s bed?
The room fell silent.
Sally’s breath hitched. “What do we do? He’s back! You have to hide!”
The man didn’t move. His lips curled into a smirk. “Why should I? Didn’t you say he’s useless? Perfect. Let him see what a real man looks like.”
Panic flashed in Sally’s eyes. She shoved his chest. “No-just go! Now! He’ll be upstairs any second!”
He let out a low chuckle. “Upstairs for what? To be a husband? Think he can even keep up with you?”
“I’m not joking! You still have time if you leave now! If you don’t, he’ll find out everything! The first thing he does after work is check on his son!”
“His son?” The man scoffed. “That’s my son!” His voice dripped with
arrogance. “Mmm, you feel so good!”
Sally’s breath hitched. “If you don’t go now… ah… everything we worked for… ah… it’ll all be for nothing… ah…”
Heavy breathing filled the room.
Renee’s stomach twisted. She felt like she needed to scrub her ears clean,
What a filthy pair!
Just as Sally had said, Nixon followed his usual routine the moment he got home-washing his hands thoroughly and then heading upstairs to check on his son. Poor guy. He really believed the baby Sally carried was his.
Right before he stepped inside, Sally shoved the other man into the closet.
She barely had time to pull on a shirt, her lower half still exposed.
Renee climbed down from the balcony and made her way back to the front door. Knocking twice, she pulled out her phone and called him. “Nixon.”
As Nixon stepped into the room, his phone buzzed. He hesitated. After what happened with Rosa, he wasn’t about to ignore a call from Renee. He answered, sinking onto the edge of the bed as his fingers brushed Sally’s
cheek.
“What is it?” His tone was steady, but there was an edge to it.
Renee shot Caitlyn a cold look, though her words were for Nixon. “I’m at your front door. I need to talk to you, but your housekeeper won’t let me in. Tell me, Nixon, did you hire a housekeeper or a backstabber?”
He was the one signing Caitlyn’s paychecks, yet she was covering for Sally. That made her a traitor in every sense of the word.
“I’m your father. Is a little respect too much to ask?”
“Oh? And how exactly should I show respect? Nixon, Sally respects you, doesn’t she? She listens to your every word-but maybe you should ask what she’s been doing behind your back.”

Nixon’s brow furrowed. His voice dropped to a chilling tone. “What are you getting at now?”
“Come downstairs. I have questions for you.” Renee ended the call without
waiting for a response.
This time, she didn’t care if Caitlyn tried to stop her. She shoved past the housekeeper and marched inside without hesitation.
Upstairs, Nixon’s jaw tightened. He didn’t appreciate Renee’s sharp tone- or the way she’d hung up on him.
As usual, he placed a hand on Sally’s belly, his voice softening. “I’ll go see what she wants. Stay in bed and get some rest, alright? You don’t look well -your forehead’s damp.”
Sally didn’t blink. “Okay.”
