Chapter 310 Thoroughly
Reamed
“Mr. Mitchell, I believe discussing your grandson in such a formal meeting isn’t really suitable, don’t you agree?”
Eric, who had been absentmindedly twirling a pen while keeping his gaze lowered, slowly lifted his head at the
remark.
In that split second, the kind smile on his face vanished like mist, replaced by a sharp, piercing gaze that pinned the speaker in place.
That one look was enough to deflate the man’s confidence, as if all the air had been let out of a balloon. His eyes began to flicker nervously, unable to hold Eric’s intense stare, and his legs trembled beneath him.
“State matters? Family issues? Eric’s voice hardened, his words sharp. “Looks like you do know the differences
after all.”
Eric slammed his cup down onto the conference table with a loud crash, sending a jolt through the room. Everyone instinctively lowered their heads, avoiding his piercing gaze.
“You all realize this is my family’s business, right?” he said, his voice steady but sharp. “My grandson putting sugar in my cup? Family. My son and daughter–in–law’s marriage? Family. Do you want me to bring every one of these matters here and explain them to you all?”
His voice grew louder, charged with an authority that seemed to reverberate off the walls.
“You talk about bad influence? If you’d bothered to check online before showing up, and seen how the public reacted to the Infinity Group CEO’s live stream, you wouldn’t be causing a scene now!”
He pointed at one person across the room. “You! The report you submitted last week was full of typos and jumbled sentences. Instead of sticking your nose in other people’s affairs, why don’t you go home and work on your handwriting?”
The person being singled out sank their head even lower, their face flushed with shame.
“And you,” Eric shifted his gaze to another, “the project in the northern part of the city has been under your supervision for over a year, and there’s been zero progress. Should I send a few interns to help speed things up?”
The person quivered slightly, wishing they could sink through the floor and disappear.
Then, Eric’s eyes locked onto someone in the far–right corner, his tone oozing with sarcasm.

“And you, you’re even more absurd. I’ve heard you frequently lock your office door during work hours to take naps. And lately, you’ve apparently taken a liking to napping in your living room at home? Maybe you share those family issues with us too since, for as far as I know, today is obviously take–your–family–drams–to-
work day!”
By now, Eric was practically seething. One by one, he called out each person’s name, his words slicing through the room like a blade. The silence was so thick they could almost hear the weight of their breaths. Everyone sat frozen in place, paralyzed by fear.
“Anyone else want to speak up?” Eric’s icy gaze swept across the room. The only response was a deafening silence. Heads dropped lower, as if trying to hide from the force of his stare.
“If not, this meeting is over!” With that, Erie stood up and stormed out, slamming the door behind him with a deafening thud.
The sound made everyone flinch, some nearly toppling from their chairs.
It took a few moments before anyone dared to move. They strained to listen, making sure Eric’s footsteps had truly faded away. Only after they confirmed he was gone did the tension break, and a collective sigh of relief filled the room. It was as if they had just woken up from a nightmare,
Finally, they could breathe again!
These officials, who were usually the ones barking orders at their subordinates, had just been reamed so thoroughly that they felt like they might collapse from sheer embarrassment!
