Chapter 308 Alone At Home
“Daddy!!!”
As soon as William stepped through the door, Felix, who had been playing in the living room, heard his father’s footsteps and immediately rushed toward the entrance. He leaped into William’s arms with pure excitement.
“Did you behave today, buddy?” William asked as he balanced Felix effortlessly with one arm while using his
free hand to close the door.
Renee, glancing up from where she sat, caught sight of the father and son sharing a heart–warming moment- both of them gently bumping heads with wide, joyful grins. A warmth washed over her, and for a heartbeat,
she felt a deep, indescribable contentment.
This was the kind of moment she had always longed for, a simple family scene that had once seemed so out of reach. They had worked hard for this–she had worked hard for this–and now, it became real.
William carried Felix into the living room, sitting down next to Renee. Without any warning, he turned to her
and pressed a kiss to her cheek.

Felix, seeing this, instantly covered his eyes with his small hands, giggling uncontrollably. “Daddy kissed
Mommy!”
Renee was taken aback for a moment, a soft blush coloring her cheeks.
William let out a deep laugh, his eyes twinkling as he gently pinched Felix’s chubby cheek. “When you get older and get married, you can kiss your wife whenever you want, too!”
With a mischievous glint in his eye, he leaned in and kissed Renee’s forehead right in front of Felix.
Felix peeked through his fingers, his curiosity piqued. As soon as he saw his parents share another kiss, he wiggled out of William’s arms, bouncing from one to the other with his little arms wide open, shouting, “I don’t want a wife! I want Mommy! Mommy, Mommy! I want kisses too!”
“Felix! Come here to Grandma!” Esme’s voice floated down from the stairs, calling for Felix to join her.
After spending so much time with them, Felix had grown closer to his grandparents, sensing the love and care they gave him. Despite his tender age, he understood who truly cared for him.
His grandparents doted on him endlessly, and he had naturally become more affectionate with them in return.
He bolted into Esme’s arms with a beaming smile, calling out, “Grandma!”
Esme’s heart melted as she smiled down at him. “What do you want to eat for dinner? How about Grandma takes you out to eat with Grandpa?”
“Okay! Grandma, I want pizza!” Felix cheered, his eyes lighting up with excitement.
“Of course! You can have anything you want!” Esme beamed, thrilled to indulge her grandson.

The grandmother and grandson were absolutely delighted!
Eame then turned to William and Renee with a warm smile, “Your dad and I haven’t gone out for a meal together in ages. We figured tonight would be a good time, so we’re taking Felix with us.”
“Sounds good, Mom,” William responded without hesitation,
Renee simply nodded, not giving it much thought. As long as felix was happy, that was all that mattered.
However, once Esme left with Felix, a strange silence settled over the house. It took a moment for Renee to
realize that, aside from her and William, no one else was home–not even Olivia,
Her brows furrowed slightly. “Wait… where’s Olivia?”
William replied casually, “She took the day off. So tonight, it’s just the two of us.”
Renee blinked. “Then… what are we having for dinner?”
The second the words left her mouth, William suddenly stood up. Before she could react, he effortlessly
scooped her into his arms.
Renee gasped, caught completely off guard. She let out a startled squeal but quickly clapped a hand over her mouth, suddenly aware of how loud she was,
William smirked, his gaze locked onto hers. “Relax, baby. There’s no one else here to hear you.”
“Put me down!” Renee demanded, squirming against his hold.
“Put you down?” William’s lips curled into a teasing grin. “Didn’t you just ask me what’s for dinner?”
Renee gave him a confused nod.
Leaning in close, he let his breath ghost against her ear as his voice dropped into a deep, teasing murmur. “Actually we don’t have time to have dinner. Did you really think my mom took Felix out just to eat outside?”
Renee’s breath hitched. Her eyes widened as William’s words sank in.
Before she could gather her thoughts, he added smoothly, “They’re actually giving us the perfect chance to start working on baby number two!”
