Chapter 306 Unless She Doesn’t Want Me Anymore
“Mr. Mitchell! Did you just glance at the teleprompter?”
“I’d do anything to work for Mr. Mitchell! What qualifications do I need to get hired?!”
“What kind of woman is worthy of sharing a bed with Mr. Mitchell? I’ll work hard to become that person!”
William narrowed his eyes at the chaotic flood of comments but ignored them entirely. Instead, he cleared his throat, shifting the focus back to the real purpose of the live stream.
His voice was steady as he began. “Renee and I have a great relationship. What I want to clarify is that we have never been divorced. Not three years ago, not now, and not ever in the future. Unless…”
He paused deliberately, his gaze dark and unwavering as he stared straight into the camera, as if speaking to
Renee herself.
“Unless she grows tired of me and decides she doesn’t want me anymore.”
The chat exploded with comments!
“Oh my god!!! Is this what peak romance looks like?!”
“I always knew they were madly in love! But no one believed me!”
“He’s handsome, powerful, and completely devoted! His wife must be incredible too!!”
William’s eyes flickered over that last comment, and before he could stop himself, a faint smile ghosted across
his lips.
“Did Mr. Mitchell just smile?! Someone tell me I’m not imagining this!”
“Mr. Mitchell, please smile again!”
“What did he see that made him smile like that?! Is his wife standing right in front of him?!”
It wasn’t just the chat that went into a frenzy–everyone in the office was equally stunned. The PR team, which consisted mostly of young women, struggled to keep their composure.
“So Mr. Mitchell can actually smile? And look that good while doing it?!”
“He must have read a comment about his wife. I think he’s about to start responding to the comments!”
“Quiet! What do you all think you’re doing?” The PR head shot a sharp glare at the group of chattering girls, her expression stiff with disapproval. “If you want to gossip, do it outside. Do you really think it’s a good idea to do this when Mr. Mitchell’s standing right there?”
Chapter Sou unless Sne Doesn’t Want Me Anymore
William didn’t even acknowledge the commotion. His voice remained steady as he continued, “She’s not here. I’m in my office at the company, and she’s at home with our kid. Now, I want to address the matter concerning the child. That child is ours, and my wife and my child–they are my absolute bottom line. If anyone dares to use them to spread rumors or test my limits, I guarantee you’ll pay for it–twice over.”
He spoke with complete composure, never raising his voice, but the weight behind his words carried an undeniable force. The pressure in the room was palpable.
Viewers watching the live stream fell silent for a moment before the comment section flooded with reactions.
In just a few sentences, William had made one thing abundantly clear–his love for Renee ran deep. If it didn’t,
there was no way he would’ve agreed to this live broadcast just to shut down speculation.
The final issue on the agenda was Infinity Group’s current predicament.
William didn’t sugarcoat the truth. He didn’t try to downplay the company’s struggles.
“My company is facing the greatest crisis since its inception. But every employee is fighting to keep it afloat,
and I don’t see this as an impossible challenge. To those who have taken this opportunity to strike at us–to
those scheming against the Mitchell family, hoping to bring down Infinity Group–I want you to know that we
won’t forgive and forget. And when the time comes, we’ll settle the score. On the other hand, to everyone who has stood by Infinity Group, your support will not be forgotten. If the day ever comes when you need the
Mitchell family or this company, we will be there without hesitation.”
His closing remarks left no room for doubt. “That concludes everything I have to say today. For the remaining time, my assistant will select a few questions from the comments, and I’ll answer them.”
