Chapter 303 Turning The
Tide
In recent days, a heavy gloom had settled over Infinity Group. From executives to entry–level staff, everyone felt the suffocating weight of the crisis.
The company’s struggles were no secret.
In just a few days, critical raw material supplies had been cut off completely, forcing factory operations to grind. to a halt. Thousands of pending orders sat in limbo, while breach–of–contract penalty notices stacked up on William’s desk.
Cash flow was on the verge of collapse, liquid funds nearly drained, and massive loans were approaching their due dates. The senior management team could feel the pressure like a boulder crushing their shoulders.
“Mr. Mitchell, several other companies have teamed up against us. They’ve blocked our supply chain, hiked up prices, and are flooding the market with dirt–cheap alternatives to squeeze us out! Our customer base is shrinking fast. If this keeps up, things will only get worse! These same companies used to fight for partnerships. with us. Now, the moment we hit trouble, they’re stepping all over us! I swear, I’ll remember every last one of them—one day, we’ll make them pay!”
The conference room buzzed with frustration and resentment. Most of the people seated here had been with Infinity Group since its inception, working alongside William to build the company from the ground up. Their loyalty ran deep, making the current crisis feel even more personal.
At the head of the table, William sat in silence, his face unreadable.
Then, he tapped the table lightly.
The entire room fell silent in an instant, all eyes shifting to him, waiting for his words.
“From the start, Infinity Group has stood for one thing–quality. We’ve always prioritized excellence in every
aspect of our work. Last meeting, there was a proposal about expanding our efforts in technological innovation.
Who suggested that?”
“That was me.” A young woman raised her hand.
Every gaze turned toward her, including William’s.
He vaguely remembered her–she had joined the company last year, highly skilled but soft–spoken. Whenever she greeted him in the hallways, she never raised her head to look at him in the eyes.
William gestured for her to continue. “Tell us your thoughts.”
Nervous, she rose from her seat, looking every bit like a fresh graduate. But as she walked to the projector and switched on her presentation, something in her demeanor shifted–suddenly, she was someone else entirely.

“My idea is to direct our R&D efforts toward developing an innovative product that can break the current
market deadlock. I’ve put together a preliminary proposal–please take a look.”
William leaned back in his chair, crossing his arms. She spoke with clear conviction, and he listened intently.
“This is an AI–driven smart home system. Its advantages include…”
Despite the room being filled with seasoned industry professionals, everyone gave her their full attention. Her
confidence was undeniable.
Infinity Group had always valued ability over seniority, and this moment was proof of that.
Standing at the podium, she finished presenting her plan. Even in front of a room of industry veterans, she remained composed, her gaze steady. “That concludes my proposal. I truly believe that if we refine and launch this in the short term, its unique features and advantages will draw in a substantial customer base and help turn the company’s situation around.”
William lifted his gaze, his expression unreadable, before suddenly asking, “What’s your name?”
