Chapter 296 I’ll Always Be By Your Side
Rence was angry If William wanted to kiss her, just do it! Why bother asking her about it?
She almost wanted to yell at him in frustration.
But before she could react, William’s eyes darkened with a deeper intensity. He leaned in with purpose, and this time the kiss wasn’t soft it was passionate, consuming, and full of longing.
Mix hips claimed Renee’s with an assertive tenderness as if he were trying to pull her into his body entirely.
At first, Renee was caught off guard, her hands instinctively pressing against his chest to resist. But soon, under the warmth and pressure of his kiss, her body surrendered. She found herself holding him closer, her arms winding around his neck without her even realizing it.
The room was silent except for the sound of their quickening breaths. The world around them seemed to disappear, leaving only the two of them in this moment.
After what felt like an eternity, William pulled back just enough to break the kiss, and a thin, silvery thread of connection still lingered between their lips.
Renee was a bit breathless, and William, his heart racing, felt the urge to kiss her again. His throat tightened as he fought the temptation.
“Nene, do you have any idea how irresistible you are?” he said in a raspy voice.

“Who says that? I’ve been under your spell for a long time,” William teased.
Just as the moment seemed to stretch on, the sound of a child’s laughter cut through the air, breaking their intimate exchange.
Both Renee and William turned in unison, only to find Felix crouching by the door, his wide, round eyes fixed
on them. His little hands covered his mouth as he giggled, clearly trying to hold back his laughter.
Renee’s face flushed crimson, and she became too shy to say anything more.
Felix had seen them kissing!
“Come over here, Felix” William straightened and gestured for the little boy to come in.
But Felix shook his head and said something, still covering his mouth, his words muffled. Realizing his hands were still in place, he quickly removed them and repeated, “Grandma told me not to interrupt you two, or
there won’t be a little sister for me in the future!”

She felt her face heat up with embarrassment.
So not only had Felix witnessed their kiss, but Esme had, too!
Renee shot William a furious look, silently blaming him in her heart.
William, catching her unspoken message, quickly apologized, “My bad. I couldn’t help myself with you seducing me like that. Next time, I’ll-”
“There won’t be a next time!” Renee snapped, raising her hand to punch his chest with force. If it had been
anyone else, they would’ve been wincing in pain, but William took the hit without flinching.
After delivering the blow, Renee suddenly realized what William had said and was about to throw another
punch, but this time, William was faster. He caught her fist with ease.
“How could you say I seduced-” Renee stopped herself, realizing she couldn’t speak freely with Felix around. She quickly closed her mouth.
William held her fist gently, nodding in a playful surrender. “I know, I know. It’s all my fault. Please don’t be
mad, darling.”
Felix, watching the whole exchange with innocent amusement, didn’t quite understand the situation but laughed anyway. Then, he dashed downstairs.
His tiny legs could only take one step at a time, and when he reached the living room, he couldn’t help but
shout, “Darling! Darling!”
Inside the room, Renee was rendered momentarily at a loss for words.
William gave a resigned smile, the corners of his lips twitching slightly.
“Felix must’ve heard ‘darling‘ for the first time and thought it was a funny word,” he said with a laugh.
Though his words were lighthearted, there was a faint trace of sadness in them.
Reaching out, William carefully lifted Renee into his arms, his voice soft but resolute. “From now on, I’ll always be by your side.”
