Chapter 295 Didn’t You Want To Kiss Me
“Who was that on the phone?” William’s voice broke the silence as he stood in the doorway.
Renee glanced up, finding him leaning against the doorframe, his arms crossed, quietly observing her.
“It was Marvin,” Renee answered honestly.
At the mention of Marvin’s name, William’s face briefly tightened with displeasure. “What did he want?”
“It was not something about him.” Renee spoke, offering a small smile. Her eyes met his as she continued, “He
just wanted me to check on Sylvia’s flight.”
William’s response was indifferent. “I see.”
“Sylvia might be leaving the country soon,” Renee said, looking at William.
However, William’s expression remained unchanged–whether that was because he had mastered the art of composure or he just didn’t care, Renee couldn’t tell.
“She will board the plane soon,” she continued, “You could still make it to the airport to see her if you hurry
now.”
William raised an eyebrow slightly, his calm demeanor unshaken. “So? Are you telling me this because you want me to do something?”
Renee met his gaze with a flicker of curiosity. “Not really. Just thought I’d mention it.”
“Is that so?” William chuckled, his voice light as he entered the room and made his way toward Renee. With a gentle nudge, he spun her chair to make her face him.
The next second, he lowered himself, closing the distance between them.
“I thought you might be jealous. Guess I was wrong. What a pity. I was so happy about it,” William said, his
voice tinged with playful disappointment.
Renee felt her frustration rise, but she struggled to find ways to express it. She quickly dismissed William’s
words, saying, “Jealous? That’s absurd. I am not jealous.”
A knowing smile spread across William’s face, his expression full of meaning. Without warning, he wrapped
one hand gently around Renee’s waist.
“I kind of hoped you were jealous,” he said, his voice smooth. “That would’ve given me a reason to comfort you. Otherwise, I’d just have to make up an excuse to kiss you.”
As he spoke, his other hand gently swept a stray lock of hair behind Renee’s ear, his gaze a mixture of teasing
affection.

Flustered by his touch, Renee turned her head away, muttering, “Since when do you need an excuse to kiss me? You just do it whenever you feel like it.”
William’s laugh vibrated through his chest, a sound that made Renee’s heart flutter.
The combination of his soft laugh and the warmth of his breath near her ear made Renee wonder if he was intentionally trying to tease her.
She shot him a sharp glare.
As William started to pull away, Renee didn’t hesitate. She grabbed onto his neck, pulling him back toward her.
But William simply spread his hands, unbothered, and watched her with an amused glint in his eyes. “What exactly are you trying to do here?”
Renee was irritated by his teasing tone. She bit her lip, cheeks flushed, chin held high in defiance.
“Didn’t you want to kiss me? Well, here’s your chance!” she said.
William chuckled softly, genuinely entertained by her forwardness.
He said, “Since you have already said that, how could I not comply?”
With that, he leaned in, pressing his lips firmly against hers before pulling back slightly, his smirk saying everything. “See? You asked for it, and I delivered. Are you satisfied?”
Renee’s face burned, and she attempted to turn away, but William gently cupped her face, guiding her back. Their foreheads met, breaths mingling, lips brushing in a delicate exchange–one warm, the other cool.
William’s smirk deepened, full of mischief. “Now, I’m going to kiss you properly,” he said.
