Chapter 244 The Bully
Renee held both men with ease, one in each hand, her grip unyielding. Despite her striking beauty, there was nothing soft about the way she moved–swift and fierce, like a storm on the horizon. What really left an impression was her strength; she held a man down with just one hand, no struggle at all.
“Let me go, damn it!” Godfrey cursed, squirming in her grasp.
Jayden groaned in pain beside him.
A smirk danced on Renee’s lips, her eyes flashing with amusement. She gave them a slight push, and like ragdolls, the two men tumbled to the ground, their cries of agony filling the air.
She stood tall, hands on her hips, a playful smile tugging at her lips.
“So, who sent you?” she asked, her voice cool.
Godfrey and Jayden, breathless and disoriented, slowly raised their heads to meet her gaze.
For a moment, they were completely taken aback by Renee’s beauty.
She was… breathtaking.
How was it possible that she outshone even Ivory?
Both men, completely mesmerized, forgot the pain they were in.
“What’s wrong?” Renee teased, her voice sharp. “Cat got your tongue? Why so quiet? Tell me who sent you!”
Jayden blinked, struggling to find his voice. “Y–you… you’re Renee Carter?”
Renee raised an eyebrow, her expression cool. “That’s me.”

“You… you… why are you bullying people?” The question was supposed to sound harsh, like an accusation, but coming from Jayden, it was surprisingly calm, even gentle.
Renee’s eyes sparkled with amusement as she shot back, “Who did I bully?”
“Iv… Ivor…” Jayden stumbled over the name, his face flushing under her
gaze.
Unable to hold back, Godfrey barked, “It doesn’t matter who sent us! The point is, you bullied someone, and now we’re here to teach you a lesson!”
Renee regarded him as if he’d just cracked a joke, her expression wide–eyed and innocent. “Oh? And what kind of lesson would that be?”
Just moments ago, Godfrey had been taunting Jayden for being spineless. Now, under Renee’s piercing gaze, his own bravado melted away like ice in the sun. Every tough word he’d planned evaporated. All he could manage was a stammered, “I’m just… telling you not to do it again…”
Renee’s laugh rang out, light and teasing, as she took a step closer to him. “And what exactly did I do? I still don’t know who I supposedly bullied…”
Under her gaze, Godfrey felt like he was trapped in her spell. Frozen, his mind empty, he blurted, “Ivory…”
Renee raised an eyebrow. “Who’s Ivory?”
The name didn’t ring a bell.
“The nurse at the hospital, Ivory Moran,” Jayden quickly chimed in, desperate to prove himself before Godfrey could recover.
Renee shrugged, her expression unbothered. “Oh… so it’s her.”
Jayden nodded, his voice hesitant. “She said you bullied her, threatened her, and even jabbed her with a needle. Is… is that true?”
The moment the words left his mouth, he found himself instinctively
siding with Renee, his belief in her unwavering.
Godfrey jumped in, his tone earnest. “It can’t be true. I can tell you’re a good person. Ivory must be setting you up!”
Renee raised an eyebrow, a playful glint in her eye. “If I told you she framed me, what would you do about it?”
Without a second’s hesitation, Godfrey declared, “Then I’ll help you teach her a lesson! She’s crossed the line.”
Renee stared at him, momentarily speechless.
So this was how Ivory had twisted these two men around her finger.
“Go back and tell Ivory if she wants something, she should come to me directly,” Renee said, her voice cool. “I don’t deal with backstabbers. If this happens again, I won’t hold back.”
