Chapter 235 He Is So
Handsome
“I heard there’s an important patient in our hospital, and he’s really handsome. Is that true?” a nurse whispered to her colleagues.
She’d been on leave for a few days and regretted it the moment she returned, hearing all the buzz.
“Yes, he’s stunning! Better looking than any celebrity! And he’s not some pretty boy–he’s all muscle, a real man. His looks are unreal! I couldn’t even imagine a face like that!”
The more they raved about him, the more the nurse regretted missing out.
Suddenly, she grabbed another nurse’s arm, her eyes
lighting up with excitement. “Lula, are you changing that handsome guy’s dressing later? Can I do it instead? I’ll buy you lunch!”
Lula laughed and shook her head. “No way!”
She wouldn’t mind getting another look at him herself.
Just a glimpse of him would make her day.
“I’ll buy you coffee too!” the nurse added.
Lula grinned. “Deal!”
There were plenty of ways to lift one’s spirits–like a good cup of coffee!
Anyway, that handsome guy already had a girlfriend. Getting another look at him wouldn’t change that.
Then it hit her. “Hey, Ivory, he’s taken, so don’t get any ideas!”
Ivory Moran was the hospital’s most beautiful nurse, often called the “hospital belle.” Everywhere she went, people admired her looks.
Beautiful women like her never lacked admirers, and many of hers came from the patients. She had a thing for dating handsome, wealthy heirs- only to drop them when the novelty wore off.
Over time, her colleagues had come to understand what kind of woman she was.
“His girlfriend is really pretty too!”
Ivory didn’t let it faze her. She couldn’t imagine anyone being more beautiful than she was.
Later, when Ivory stepped into the ward and saw William for the first time,
she froze, her mind going completely blank.
William was leaning against the headboard, reading a book. Sensing her gaze, he looked up and locked eyes with her.
“Here to change the dressing?” His voice, deep and magnetic, pulled her back to reality.
She flushed with embarrassment and awkwardly made her way to his
bedside.
“Hello, I’m here to change your dressing,” Ivory said, her voice sugary
sweet–a tone that had charmed countless men before.
William set the book aside and unbuttoned his hospital gown.
For the first time in front of a patient, Ivory lowered her head, her cheeks flushing with shyness.
William paused, waiting for her to proceed. When she didn’t, he looked up, confused. “What’s wrong?”
“Oh… n–nothing… I…” Ivory stammered, flustered, as she began to change the dressing.

Lula’s praise hadn’t even scratched the surface. This man’s physique was exactly the kind Ivory liked–strong, fit, and healthy. As her fingertips grazed his muscles, she felt a spark. Normally, she’d be bolder, playing coy while flirting without a second thought. But William’s icy demeanor stopped her in her tracks.
For the first time, Ivory was completely flustered, her heart pounding in the presence of a man who seemed impervious to her charms.
“Are you new here? An intern?” William’s voice cut through the silence.
His tone wasn’t cold–just neutral. Emotionless. Almost distant.
“N–no… I’m just… a little nervous around you…” Ivory stammered.
At her words, William’s expression shifted, a flicker of impatience crossing
his face.
If she were an intern, he might have understood the nerves, but this felt
different.
Ivory quickly glanced around, her curiosity getting the better of her. She’d heard from the other nurses that his girlfriend was in the same room, but
she still hadn’t seen her.
