Chapter 232 Caught At The Airport
When Marvin answered the phone, his carefree nature made him completely unaware of the looks the others were exchanging in the hospital room. Aside from Ryland, the three others were casting curious and questioning glances his way.
“Hello, Uncle Shaun!” Marvin greeted brightly.
“Why abroad? What’s the rush?”
“But I… I still have so much left to do here.”
“Alright, I understand. Stay safe, Uncle Shaun.”
As he hung up, Denton’s anxiety surfaced, his voice tight with concern. “Hey, is your uncle going abroad? Where is he now?”
“At the airport. He has a few things to…” Marvin began, but then he hesitated, his instincts telling him something wasn’t quite right.
He shot Denton a wary look, suddenly wondering why this man seemed so interested in his uncle’s whereabouts.
“Oh, no, it’s nothing,” Denton quickly responded, catching Marvin’s suspicious gaze. “Just asking. No big deal.”
Meanwhile, at the airport, Shaun stepped out of his sleek, expensive car,
followed by his assistants, each struggling with two large suitcases.
Though his appearance suggested he was preparing to flee, his expression remained calm and composed, as if nothing were out of place.
He’d traded his usual sharp suit for casual attire, topped with a dark coat that gave him an air of mystery as he moved through the crowd.
As Shaun walked through the bustling airport, his assistants trailed behind him, their nerves written all over their faces. They clutched their passports tightly, as if afraid they might slip through their fingers.
Shaun, on the other hand, moved through the crowd with an unsettling calm. His eyes scanned the area, quick and alert, searching for any signs of surveillance. Instinctively, he lowered his head just enough to stay under
the radar.
Everything was going smoothly–until he reached the final security checkpoint. A sharp voice sliced through the air, halting him in his tracks.
“Excuse me, are you Mr. Doyle?” The security officer’s voice was steady and commanding.
Shaun paused for a brief moment, and then gave a slight nod. He hadn’t shown any ID yet, but somehow, the officer already knew who he was.
“I’m sorry, but we need to do a standard check,” the officer said.
Without warning, officers appeared from every direction, their eyes sharp and focused, swiftly closing in on Shaun.
Under the intense gaze of the crowd, Shaun was taken into custody.
The crowd whispered, casting sidelong glances as murmurs filled the air.
“That guy looks familiar,” someone said, their voice low but eager.
“Why does every good–looking person seem familiar to you?”
“No, seriously, I swear I’ve seen him before. Take a good look.”

“He does look familiar. Could he be a celebrity? With that face and confidence, he doesn’t seem like your average guy. Maybe they’re filming
a movie!”
The crowd swelled, phones raised to snap pictures, all of them convinced Shaun was a star just because of his looks. Then, someone’s voice cut through the noise. “Wait… isn’t he Shaun Doyle?”
“He really does look like him! What in the world did he do?”
“Who knows? It’s always something with those rich families. Even the wealthy have their issues.”
The buzz of the crowd didn’t shake Shaun’s composure.
He met the officers‘ gazes with calm certainty, his voice even. “Can you tell me what this is about? I’m about to leave the country. If it’s not urgent, could you wait until I get back?”
“Sorry, that’s not possible. You’re coming with us now.”
