Chapter 145 That’s Your
Best Shot
At Swenia Mine, Renee found herself restrained, her wrists bound tightly. Yet, this did little to dampen her spirit or capabilities. With a defiant glint in her eye, she faced off against a man whose brawn vastly overshadowed any formal training he might have lacked.
A sly, confident smile curved her lips as she nimbly sidestepped his clumsy punches. Each swing he took brought him nothing but air, and with each miss, his frustration boiled over into a raging, bullish charge.
“I’m going to kill you!” he bellowed with reckless fury.
Renee’s chuckle was tinged with scorn as she watched him stomp forward.
In a flash, her leg whipped up, her foot rocketing towards his chest with lethal precision.
He caught a glimpse of her incoming strike but was too slow to react. Frozen, he could only register shock as her kick connected solidly, forcing the air from his lungs and sending him stumbling backward, the taste of blood sharp in his throat. His disbelief was palpable, shocked by the sheer force delivered by someone so slight
in comparison.
But Renee was far from finished. With a fluid motion, she struck again, her foot snapping out like a viper.
Wounded pride morphed into raw anger. Humiliated and incensed at being bested by a woman, he flailed, aiming to seize her foot and retaliate with all his might.
In his twisted mind, he held on to the pathetic belief that her skills didn’t matter–after all, she was just a
woman.
But once more, he found his assumptions about Renee painfully misguided.
Would Renee allow him even a trace of opportunity to turn the tables?
No fucking way. She crushed any hope he had without a second thought.
As he lunged forward to seize her foot, she expertly used his grasp as a pivot, propelling her other foot sharply
towards his forehead in a swift kick.
His scream of terror pierced the air, mingling with the sinister chuckle that escaped her lips.
“Not done yet,” she scoffed, her voice dripping with mockery.
A heavy thud echoed through the warehouse as he collapsed to the ground, limbs sprawled out like a discarded
puppet.
“Pathetic,” a woman’s voice snapped, heavy with contempt.
Renee shifted her gaze, noticing a woman poised in the doorway, watching her intently.
The woman’s silhouette was striking, accentuated by the harsh backlight that veiled her features in mystery.
“You three, take her on together,” she commanded crisply.
The remaining trio hesitated. Having previously fallen victim to Renee’s formidable prowess, they remained wary; yet, with her hands now bound, they harbored a glimmer of hope for redemption.
The man crumpled on the floor coughed up blood, his hoarse whisper carrying a grave warning to his comrades.
“Don’t underestimate her.”
Exchanging wary looks, the three men tightened their fists in shared resolve, readying themselves for the
uncertain challenge ahead.
Renee was keenly aware that if the three of them launched a simultaneous assault, her chances of prevailing
were slim.
Outnumbered and overwhelmed, she found herself hoisted into the air as two men grasped her ankles. Her
head struck the concrete with a resounding thud, sending a dizzying rush of blood to her brain and a sharp
pang of discomfort coursing through her.
As she dangled helplessly, another man unleashed a series of brutal punches to her abdomen, each blow forcing a gasp of pain and a spatter of blood from her lips.
Between clenched teeth, he snarled, “You fucking bitch! You think you’re tough, huh? Let’s see how stubborn
you are now!”
Exhausted from his own fury, he resorted to kicking her relentlessly.
Yet, through it all, Renee’s response was unsettlingly calm–a sinister grin spread across her face.
“Quit fucking around and knock her out already!” another man shouted.
A sharp, derisive laugh erupted from Renee, echoing like a taunt in the deserted warehouse.
“Really, that’s your best shot? I’ve kicked all your asses before, and I’ll do it again. Face me if you dare, man to woman, fair and square. And look at you, calling yourselves men while being bossed around by a woman? It’s fucking hilarious. Every last one of you is a worthless, beaten piece of shit!”
