Chapter 105 What Do You Expect Me To Do
The streamer’s audience was primarily male, drawn to his content, which revolved around going out and flirting with women on the street. To keep his viewers entertained, he often resorted to tactics that crossed the line–provocative remarks, inappropriate jokes, and at times, outright harassment. His streams thrived on controversy, and for him, making women uncomfortable was just part of the act.
Renee headed straight for him. The male streamer, finally noticing her approach, was just about to flash a cocky grin and greet her. However, before he could even open his mouth, she swiftly reached out and knocked his phone out of his hands, smacking it to the ground.
“Hey!” he shouted, immediately crouching down to snatch up his phone. His tone turned sharp as he cursed, “Damn, you’re feisty! What if you broke my phone? You planning to pay for it?”
Renee didn’t acknowledge him. She didn’t even glance in his direction. With absolute indifference, she simply continued walking as if he didn’t exist.
The scene drew the attention of nearby onlookers, some raising their own phones to record the commotion. Just as she reached the entrance of the hotel, the streamer, unwilling to let the matter slide, rushed after her. He stretched out a hand, attempting to stop her, but was immediately intercepted by two security guards.
“Sir, you can’t enter without an invitation,” one of them stated firmly.
“I’m not trying to go in! That crazy woman knocked my phone down!” the streamer
barked, his frustration evident.
As Renee walked further inside, he yelled after her, “Hey! You think you can just break my phone and walk away? At least apologize to me for it!”
His camera,
still rolling, remained focused on her retreating figure. The unexpected incident sent his live stream into a frenzy, and his viewer count skyrocketed to fifty
thousand in an instant.
The surge of attention thrilled him–he had never pulled such numbers before. If he let her go without escalating this, he’d be missing out on an even bigger audience. Fueled by excitement, he shoved against the security guards, determined to keep the drama going.
Unfortunately for him, the security team was highly trained and took their jobs seriously. No matter how much the streamer struggled, they weren’t about to let him create a scene inside the venue.
The streamer, desperate to keep his audience engaged, refused to let it go. When Renee continued to brush him off, he turned his frustration toward the security guards. “Oh, I get it. You’re protecting her just because she’s a guest, huh? You all saw it, didn’t you? She knocked my phone down for no reason! What’s the deal here? So, being a guest gives her special treatment, huh? Just because we can’t go in doesn’t mean you get to look down on us. She smashed my phone without cause. Are you really fine with that?”
Renee had already begun climbing the stairs leading to the venue. At the sound of the streamer’s words, she halted, a cold smile curving on her lips. She turned to face him, her gaze sharp and unyielding, sending an unmistakable chill through the air.
The streamer felt a sudden shiver run down his spine, unnerved by the intensity of her stare. Her eyes, though captivating, held a venomous weight that left him momentarily speechless.
“Y–You…” he stammered, struggling to regain his composure.
Renee’s voice was as icy as the air between them. “Keep that camera trained on me, and you’ll have a legal notice from me in ten minutes for violating my image rights.”
The streamer faltered, a jolt of panic flashing through him.
He glanced nervously at the live stream, where the viewer count had surged to eighty thousand–a milestone he had never anticipated, and it was still climbing. The idea of losing such a massive audience was unbearable to him.
But the comments flooding in gave him pause. “This is Infinity Group’s gala, the event of the year for the elite. If she says she’ll sue, she means it. Be careful, bro.”
Realizing he had no choice, the streamer reluctantly lowered his camera, but his defiance didn’t waver as he called out, “You attacked me without reason. How do you explain that?”
Renee crossed her arms, her posture relaxed but her gaze unwavering. “And what do you expect me to do about it?”
Caught off guard, the streamer was left speechless. The phone, though knocked to the ground, hadn’t been damaged in the slightest, leaving him with no real grounds to demand compensation.
“You… should apologize to me,” he muttered under his breath, still unwilling to fully back down.
