Chapter 16 Unfaithful Men Deserve to Die
I said, “You are so fisalishi, Instead of worrying about me taking your place, you should think about how to deal with the women around Henry. You are not the only one, right?
– Aria’s face changed slightly, her eyes full of panie, but she said finds. “It’s none of your business.”
Tlara quickly came back with the documents, and I led her away. Aria was so angry.
ingry that she stomped her feet. Even from a distance, 1 could hear the sound of high heels hitting the ground.
Elara looked at me cautiously, pursing her lips. “Ms. Martinez, arent
I asked, “Sad about what?”
Elara replied, “Clearly, you are Mr. Phillips wife.
I said with a slight smile, “Elara, some things can’t be decided by Htjes. Being Mr. Phillips wife is no longer important to me.”
It felt more like a shackle, tightly locking me in..
Elara clenched her fists in indignation. “There isn’t a single good man in this world. All these men deserve to die.”
I was a bit shocked by her words. You re so young and probably haven’t even had a proper relationship yet. How did you come to
such a conclusion?
Elara lowered her head. “My dad left my mom like that too.”
I didn’t know how to comfort her, so I just patted her shoulder.
“Men who cheat deserve to die!” Elara muttered. Her mood recovered quickly, and she was full of energy again
in
an instant.
When we got off the elevator, I saw Brian sitting
g on the sofa in the lobby, reading a magazine with great interest.
I walked over, and Brian put the magazine back. All sorted?”
I nodded. “Dr. Scott, are you busy later?”
added. “Dr. Scott.
“What’s up? Brian raised an eyebrow.
1 grinned, “If you are not busy, I’d like to treat you to a meal.”
Brian frowned slightly. “You have a lot of dietary restrictions right now.”
“But I don’t want to eat that light food anymore. Being sick had killed my appetite, and eating light food in the hospital every day was making me sick,
Elara’s mouth dropped open. “Ms. Martinez, are you sick? What kind of illness do you have? Is it serious?”
“Not too serious,” I said vaguely.
I looked at Brian with hopeful eyes. He was silent for a moment but eventually agreed. “But I get to choose the dishes.”
I nodded cheerfully. “Okay, you choose, and I’ll
pay.”

We found a nearby restaurant;”I couldn’t remember the last time late out.
The air outside was fresh. After getting used to the smell of disinfectant in the hospital, the outside air was much more appealing.
Life was so beautiful. If only I were healthy, it would be even better
Unfortunately, with my condition, I didn’t know how much longer I could hold on
Brian ordered some light dishes, but
if they were better than the husplat food.
Halfway through the meal, Hara tugged at my clothes and pointed not far away. “Ms. Martinez, look, it’s Mr. Phillips. The person with him seems to be Aria,”
I looked in the direction Elara was pointing, and sure enough, it was them.
Henry really knew how to charm women. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have allen so deeply in love with him back then.
Henry said something to Aria, and she was crying one moment and smiling the next.
Aria leaned into Henry’s arms, feeding him cherries. Henry ate them with a look of happiness, even licking Aria’s Tingers. Aria shyly hid in his arms, the two of them looking like a couple.
Watching this scene, I felt a bit uncomfortable.
1 originally thought
Henry would break up with Aria this time, but it seemed he couldn’t bear to part with her.
If something like this had happened before, he would have already moved on to the next girlfriend. There was no way he would have coaxed someone like this:
Aria must be very special to him.
My heart ached, and my whole body seemed to hurt.
Elora said angrily, “Mr. Phillips is too much. He is so high–profile and even shows off in public. I withdrew my gaze and smiled faintly, “He’s always been like this.”
