Chapter 2
Seeing my sister fall into thought, Jessica’s face lit up with hope. “I really do love him! That’s why when you ripped his shirt open, I was ready to risk death to stop you!”
Just as she said this, Roxy returned with a doctor.
“Stop him, my ass!” Roxy kicked her aside. “Let the doctor see the Young Master! I was afraid he was in pain so I had the doctor bring painkillers.”
My sister nodded. Roxy breathed a sigh of relief and led the doctor inside.
I was drifting in and out of consciousness, aware only of a cold instrument being placed on my chest.
‘I’ll do it.” My sister pushed the doctor’s hand away and placed the stethoscope over my heart herself.
The doctor listened for a moment, then removed the earpiece, his expression grim. “The Young Master ha suffered a severe shock, compounded by exhaustion and terror. His heart rate is very unstable. His pulse i weak, and his lips are cracked. It seems he hasn’t had food or water in a long time…”
Hearing this, my sister grew frantic, demanding to know what to do. When the doctor said I needed an I’ Irip immediately to survive, she urged him to hurry.
A sharp pain in the back of my hand, and I felt the cold fluid begin to flow into my veins. Seeing me frowr
ny sister ordered her driver to fetch a hot water bottle and place it under the IV tube. “This way, my little Le
von’t be uncomfortable. He’s always been afraid of the cold…”
My mouth was pried open, and the doctor administered a painkiller with sugar water. I clamped my mout
hut against the pain.
This is a sin,” the doctor lamented. “The Young Master’s mouth is completely torn up.”
My sister’s face was a mask of pain and anxiety. “Will there be any permanent damage?”
The doctor shook his head. “The external wounds and the injuries to his mouth are not critical. With carefu ending, they should heal in a month or two. But…”
de hesitated, as if weighing his words.
But what? Spit it out!” my sister snapped.
But the wounds on his face were made with a sharp blade, and they are very deep. The scabs were jus beginning to form, but they were torn open again by force. I’m afraid that even when they heal, they will leave scars…” The doctor’s voice grew quieter and quieter. He knew how much my sister valued my face. He beg an to tremble. “I don’t know who could be so vicious. It’s as if they were determined to disfigure him. It’s pur
evil.”
My sister’s eyes turned crimson. “Treat him. Use the best medicine you have.”
The doctor agreed profusely, then made an excuse about fetching more supplies and fled with his medical
kit.
