Chapter 1
Fabian Elkedonia cheated.
On their fourth wedding anniversary, Chesca Lavirins discovered Fabian’s other phone.
Inside were hundreds of sex tapes.
And the star? His childhood playmate Veronica Arnault.
Chesca clicked on the most recent one and recognized their bedroom as the backdrop.
Fabian gripped the girl’s waist, his face flushed with satisfaction.
“God, babe, you’re so tight. Open your legs. Wider. That’s it. Be a good girl and take it all.”
Her eyes burned as she watched the video over and over. Chesca bit her lip hard, her
knuckles turning white as she clutched the phone.
In that moment, she knew it was time to surrender her position as Fabian’s wife.
Wiping away her tears, Chesca took out her phone and dialed a number.
“Mrs. Elkedonia, I accept your offer. Five billion. I’ll leave Fabian forever.”
Fabian’s mother Maggie Snape sounded ecstatic on the other end. “Finally came to your senses? Thank God. You never deserved to be with the Elkedonia heir! Once the divorce
papers are signed, I’ll wire the money immediately!”
Chesca took a deep breath and replied coldly, “Fine.”
That evening, she returned to Orlanda Castle pretending nothing had happened,

Fabian came home late, reeking of alcohol. He noticed she was still awake and frowned. “Why aren’t you in bed yet?”
“Do you know what today is?” Chesca asked softly.
Chapter 1
Fabian hesitated, then answered with zero concern, “Tuesday.”
“It’s our wedding anniversary.” Chesca’s voice was calm, though her heart already beyond
shattered.
For four years, she had given everything to the Elkedonia family, only to be rewarded with betrayal and deceit. She had gone from being a chess piece in a power marriage to a discarded piece they no longer needed.
Fabian complained she was too proper, not sexy enough, so he kept a mistress on the side.
“Fabian, I want a divorce.” Chesca handed him the divorce papers with her fingers trembling slightly. “I’ve already discussed the money with your mother, so don’t worry
about it.”
Fabian’s expression changed drastically. “What the hell have you been discussing with
mother?”
my
Chesca’s face remained expressionless. “Mrs. Elkedonia has always wanted us to divorce. Now she’s getting her wish.”
Fabian ripped the papers to shreds, a flash of panic in his eyes. “Drop this nonsense right now! Chesca, we are not getting divorced. We’re bound by mutual interests–you know that perfectly well.”
“Interests?” Chesca laughed bitterly, the images from the phone vivid in her mind. “What interests do you still have in me?”
After a long silence, Fabian finally said coldly, “I will not agree to a divorce.” He stormed out, leaving the torn papers behind.
Chesca tilted her head back, staring at the ceiling as tears silently rolled down her face. That night, she couldn’t sleep.
The next morning, Fabian learned Chesca had already gone into the office.
He rushed to Leshine, where his secretary Taylor Delapore was waiting by the elevators with a hushed update. “Sir, there’s a problem with the Yolo project. Ms. Lavirins just

replaced the key personnel on the project.”
4
The Yolo project was a strategic partnership between Leshine and the Yolo Group, involving billions of dollars and shaping the company’s development for the next five years. The project had always been led by Chesca.
Now, this move? It was a clear warning shot.
Fabian sneered. “She’s getting bold.”
That afternoon, Fabian arranged for his personal lawyer, Zeno Cortez, to prepare for a potential marital crisis. A top–tier lawyer with a reputation that preceded him, Zeno was more than just legal muscle and he had been Fabian’s longtime friend and right–hand man.
That evening, as Fabian had arranged, Zeno met with Chesca in the ground floor café at Leshine.
“Mrs. Elkedonia, it’s been a while.” Zeno stood up, politely gesturing for Chesca to sit.
Chesca sat down with an expressionless face. “What do you want?”
Zeno slid a folder across the table.
“Fabian asked me to talk to you. Based on the prenup, if you insist on divorcing him… well, you won’t be walking away with much.”
Chesca skimmed the document, then closed it with a quiet snap. “I’ll leave with nothing if I have to. And Zeno, stop calling me Mrs. Elkedonia… just call me Chesca.”
Right then, the café door opened and Fabian walked in. He noticed the attentive way Zeno was looking at Chesca, and something uncomfortable stirred inside him.
“Finished your chat?” Fabian approached the table, his tone calm but intimidating.
Chesca stood up. “Yes, we’re done.” She grabbed her bag, ready to leave.
Fabian shot Zeno a look. “You can go now. My wife and I still have things to discuss.”
Chapter 1
Zeno nodded slightly, packed up the documents and left.
Fabian eyed Chesca’s casual outfit with disapproval. Then frowned. “What’s with the look?
Go change. We’re heading to the Elkedonia mansion for dinner.”
Chesca didn’t argue. She nodded quietly and returned to her office to change into a simple
white dress before joining Fabian in the private elevator.
Inside the elevator, Fabian checked his watch, his voice detached. “After your discussion
with Zeno, I assume you’ve abandoned this divorce nonsense. Today is your ovulation
period. Be ready when we get home. If you don’t enjoy it, I’ll try to finish quickly.”
Chesca smiled bitterly to herself: Fabian discussed making babies with the coldness of a
business transaction.
Suddenly, the elevator jolted to a stop. The doors opened.
It was Veronica Arnault.
に
Veronica stepped in lightly, looking at Chesca and pleading cautiously.
“The staff elevator’s broken. Miss Lavirins, mind if I use this one?” Veronica asked in a
sweet voice.
Chesca said nothing, simply holding down the door close button–a clear message that Veronica wasn’t welcome.
Veronica turned to Fabian for help, but he just said lightly, “Do as Ms. Lavirins says.”
Veronica reluctantly stepped back, frustration evident on her face as the doors doors shut again and the elevator continued downward.
On the way to the Elkedónia mansion, Fabian attempted to ease the tension. “The Yolo deal was your baby. Don’t let personal matters affect your work.”
Chesca laughed bitterly. “Personal matters? You call cheating a ‘personal matter‘?”
Fabian’s expression darkened and he fell silent.
Chapter 1
At the Elkedonia mansion, Chesca maintained a polite smile, playing the role of the perfect
wife in front of everyone.
For the past four years, she had never missed a monthly family dinner. Even now, with her
heart in ruins, she couldn’t show any cracks in her façade to the Elkedonia family.
In the backyard, she ran into Fabian’s cousin–Zebulon Elkedonia.
He’d always been at odds with Fabian, locked in a constant power struggle. Now that Fabian
had a mistress? Zebulon wasn’t about to let the opportunity go to waste.
“Heard you
and my cousin are having problems?” Zebulon’s smile didn’t reach his eyes.
Chesca didn’t respond.
He handed Chesca a stack of photos showing Fabian and Veronica in intimate moments.
“You know her, don’t you?”
“Her father is Draxion Arnault, a famous painter. Wealthy. Respected. And her mother?
Best friends with Fabian’s mother.” His smirk deepened.
“And you, Chesca? You’re an orphan. How do you expect to compete?”
Then, he leaned in with voice low.
“But you still have a way out. Work with me–before it’s too late.”
Chesca tossed the photos aside with cool indifference. “Appreciate the warning, but I don’t
need it.”
Zebulon didn’t know that she already possessed more damning evidence–sex videos of Fabian and Veronica. Compared to these photos, those videos were far more explicit and
undeniable.
