Chapter Sixty–One
After Katie left my office, Nick, my security detail, came in. “Sir, may I talk to you for a
moment?” he asked, and he looked upset.
“Yes, Nick, how could I help you?”
“Well, you know that Ethan is my brother and I do not condone what he has done. I am pretty
upset that he helped two prisoners escape from our cells, one for threatening our Luna and
the other wanting to destroy our pack and kill you and our Luna.
Well, a few minutes ago, I received a phone call from the b***h that wants to kill our Luna, a
raging lunatic that cannot get in her head that she will never become our Luna unless she kills
both of you and someone becomes our Alpha, someone that made a promise to her. I knew
what she wanted, sir, and she would never get any information from me about what was going
on in the pack. I told her to lose my number and never to call me again, hanging up on her before she even opened her mouth and I blocked her number. I do not want to associate with
her or be tied into any of her demented plans. I wanted to tell you before she tries to ruin my good name in the pack. I love you and Luna like family and I would give up my life before
anyone tries to kill either one of you.”
His head was hung low like he was embarrassed that this happened to him. Nick is one of my best warriors and I knew that he would never betray me. He is very loyal, and I know he would
give his life protecting us.
“You are the second person that came to me that Shelia is trying to get information about the pack, what we are doing to prepare for the attack. I am coming up with a plan that could bring Paul, Shelia, and the rogues down. I have to think of something before I react.” He nodded his head. “Thank you, Nick, for letting me know. You can have the rest of the day off. I need you to be clear–headed when it comes to protecting me and my mate.”
“Yes, sir. Thank you. I will make sure that both you and the Luna will be protected, and I will make it my life’s mission.” He walked out of my office.
I linked Jack and Jason to come to my office. Shelia is up to something and I want her to stop. They showed up a few minutes later, asking me what was up.
“The reason I asked you both here is that Shelia is reaching out to our members. I have had two come to me already. I came up with a plan to take care of her. I will tell them to give her the wrong information, so Paul and Shelia can relax on their plans, making them mess up on their attack. I want to take them by complete surprise and defeat them.” Both of them nodded

their heads. Just as I was going to link Katie and Nick, there was a knock on the door. I told
them to come in. It was Teresa’s dad, Wayne.
“Wayne, what a surprise. Can I help you with something?” I asked him, noticing that he had a
troubled look on his face.
“Alpha, if it is not a good time, I can come back later.”
“No, you are good, Wayne. Please sit and tell me what is wrong.” I pointed to the chair in front
of my desk. He sat down, looking at his hands, acting nervous.
“Wayne, what is wrong?”
“Sir, I came here as soon as I got off the phone. My daughter called me and wanted me to spy for her, telling her what was going on here. I told her that I couldn’t, that I could get arrested for treason and be killed. It would kill my mate if something happened to me. I told her that I would think about it and let her know this evening. That is why I came to talk to you. I do not want to betray my pack, my home. I was born and grew up here. I have family and friends that I do not want to see get hurt. My brother, his mate, my niece and nephew, my parents, all my friends.” He was almost in tears, knowing that he did not want to lose his home.
“Wayne, you are the third person in the past hour telling me that someone from the rogue pack has contacted them. Shelia had contacted Katie in the kitchen and Nick, the warrior on my security detail. Shelia put Teresa up to this and had her call you. I am happy that you are coming to me. It shows your loyalty to not only the pack but to me and Tovi, too. We were just discussing what to do with this situation. We are going to have one of you give them the wrong information, making them drop their guard, and when the attack happens, we will surprise them by showing them that we are stronger than what they expected. I know that you love your daughter, but she has betrayed the pack by helping out two prisoners who are dangerous to escape. I want to weaken them, take away their advantage, and make them weak so we can destroy them once and for all when they show up at the border. I want you to contact Teresa and tell her that you will help her out. We will help out with the fake information to pass to her, make Paul believe that we have let our guard down and when they show up, they will regret messing with us. I will make sure there are no repercussions against
you
because you are helping us and following my orders. What is said between us right now stays in this office. Your mate does not need to know. It’s only the four of us.”
Wayne nodded his head, still nervous that this could blow back to him. I gave him my word and no one other than us would know that he would be the fake mole.
“Come back this evening, before dinner. We will come up with something that you can tell her

and Shelia that will hurt them in the long run.” He nodded his head.
“Thank you, Alpha. I do love my daughter, but I also love my pack. I am happy that you are not
”
mad at me about this and I will help you out to keep the pack safe. I will be back before dinner.
And he was out the door, with a slight pep in his step.
“Ok, we need to figure out some things for him to tell them like we are sending warriors back, that we have laxed on training, but the pack members wanted to continue their training, and that Tovi and I are going on vacation right around the time the attack is supposed to hit,
making them believe that I don’t care about the pack.” Jack and Jason agreed with me,
thinking about some other things to tell them.
Tovi came into my office after her training, looking exhausted. She sat in my lap and cuddled
up to me.
“Babe, are you ok? Do you need to go upstairs and get some rest?” I asked her, wrapping my
arms around her.
“No, I want to be right here, in your arms. I miss spending time with you, and we have been so
busy lately, between preparing for the attack and my training with the witches. I know that it
will be really busy here in a couple of months when the pup is here and the attack happens.”
We have been busy, and we haven’t had time to spend quality time with each other. I am
thinking about Nana’s suggestion. Maybe we could take a weekend away, relax, and focus on
each other.
“I might have an idea, but I have to make sure that everything is good before I act on it. Give
me a couple of days and then I will let you know.” She nodded her head, about to fall asleep. I
held her until she was in a deep sleep. I got up with her and placed her on the couch, covering
her with a blanket. Between the training and the pregnancy, she is getting worn out. I asked
Jack and Jason to step out with me. When we were in the hallway, I asked them if it was ok if
we took a weekend away.
“Cuz, the two of you need it. We have it. Go ahead and take her to the beach house in Hawaii.
If anything comes up, we will contact you.” Jack said, putting his arm around my shoulder.
“I agree with Jack. You two need this. Go ahead. Everything is ahead of schedule, and we are
pretty much ready for this attack. The wall will be done in two weeks and I got cameras and sensors ordered,” Jason agreed with Jack.
