Shirley was the second eldest. Moreover, she was a music teacher at a university, a pianist, and a musician.
Since she ever composed her own songs and released her own albums, she was quite popular.
In fact, she had also composed songs for Maddy.
Like Wendy, Shirley was also a top student. She had studied abroad in the past. Hence, she was highly knowledgeable. After returning from abroad, she became a music teacher at an esteemed university.
Wendy had no idea how Shirley perceived this matter. Hence, she needed to know Shirley’s view. She wanted to find out how Shirley treated Joshua, their blood–related brother.
At this moment, Wendy had a strong urge to have a clear and thorough idea of what kind of hellish life Joshua had gone through exactly in the past four years at the Fraser Residence.
Nonetheless, Wendy didn’t immediately show the chat histories and diary entries to the other family members, for she feared they might scoff at them and not take them seriously.
In particular, Maddy. Wendy was afraid she might still continue to poke fun at Joshua.
After all, Joshua had long become a laughingstock among them sisters.
Now that she mused over it, Wendy felt a chill run down her spine.
We were all top students!
We were all extremely knowledgeable, professional, highly educated, and high–income individuals! Yet, how could we be out of our minds to have treated Joshua so horribly?
Maybe we just never took him seriously.
Shirley had just returned home from teaching. As she didn’t know why Wendy was looking for her, she hurried to Wendy’s room to find her.
With the storm approaching, Shirley was actually not swamped with work. In fact, her schedule had been leisurely and carefree these few days as there were fewer music classes at the university.
Shirley had several best friends. Hence, she had been busy drinking coffee, shopping, and buying luxury goods with them.
Today, Maggie and David seemingly had not contacted the police to inquire about the search for Joshua.
They probably had scruples about it since Frankie was at home. As they worried that Frankie would be affected, they didn’t go looking for Joshua.
Fearing that Frankie saw himself as an outsider, the entire family carefully protected Frankie’s sensitive

Wendy watched as Shirley approached.
“Wendy, you wanted to see me?” Shirley asked..
“Come in first.” When Wendy saw that Shirley had dressed to the nines, put on light makeup, and wore a beautiful chiffon dress, she couldn’t help but sigh softly.
Compared to us dressing up elegantly and beautifully, Joshua could only sell live crabs in the dirty market and endure the stench of the market.
We were clearly blood–related siblings. Yet, the differences between our livelihoods are so vast!
Wendy didn’t understand why the world had become like this. All she felt was a sense of frustration that was hard to vent.
As much as she wanted to blame it on the others, she knew very well that she was also one of the people who had caused Joshua to live miserably.
Shirley was somewhat surprised when she saw Wendy’s eyes were teary and swollen. Thus, she hurriedly entered and asked, “Wendy, what’s wrong? Have you been crying?”
Wendy shook her head. “Sit down. Let’s talk.”
Clueless about what Wendy wanted to talk to her about, Shirley instantly fell into a slight panic.
She might not fear her parents as they seldom hit her. However, she had no choice but to fear Wendy. After all, the suppression of blood ties and Wendy’s authority as the eldest weren’t something she could rebel against.
“Wendy, why did you call me in to talk?” Shirley asked cautiously.
“It’s nothing. I just want to ask you if Joshua really was the one who dirtied Mom’s dress seven days ago,” Wendy questioned.
“Uh…” Shirley was surprised.
“Don’t hide it from me! Maddy has already told me!” Wendy sniffed. “Joshua had no reason to dirty Mom’s dress, let alone leave such a big patch of stain. I know what happened. Tell me! Who exactly was the culprit?”
Shirley looked slightly flustered, unsure of how to answer. However, upon seeing the serious look on Wendy’s face, she knew she had to answer her.
“Frankie was the one who dirtied Mom’s dress. He went to seek Maddy’s help, and Maddy came to me,” she could only reply with a wry smile.
“So, you three framed Joshua?!” Wendy’s heart turned cold.
“It’s not my fault! No one told him to always go to Mom’s room, right? Also, Wendy, you don’t think Mom didn’t know who dirtied her dress, do you?” Shirley quibbled.

“Mom surely knew! Even if she didn’t, she could guess who it was!” Shirley shrugged and continued, “That’s why you can’t blame us! Who knew he was so petty that he directly ran away from home?!”
