Chapter 34 Together
But now, judging by Joshua’s demeanor, he seemingly didn’t live a good life at the Fraser Residence.
“Nah, I’m not going back,” Joshua replied. “As for the reasons, please don’t ask me for now. Let’s just focus on making big bucks and SATS!”
Looking at him, Gwen felt somewhere sorry and comforted him, “Joshua, you still have us.”
“That’s right! Joshua, you still have us!” Tom also laughed heartily.
A smile played on Joshua’s lips as he listened to them. “Haha! True! I still have you guys! So what if they’re my blood relatives? Big deal! Come on! Let’s have some fun and drink to our hearts‘ content today! Once we’re done, we’ll continue making money tomorrow!”
“Alright!”
The three were pumped. They drank together, cooked together, studied together, and worked together.
The many incidents that happened within the 20 years after his death in his previous life were still vivid in Joshua’s memory. During those years, he had witnessed the endings of Tom, Gwen, and Edith’s lives.
For a long time after Joshua’s death, Tom, Gwen, and Edith had visited his grave several times.
Through their own efforts, most of the three achieved great success and lived out their own brilliance.
In particular, Gwen. She successfully enrolled in a prestigious university and eventually became a renowned elite lawyer nationwide.
Even Edith, who had the worst results, became an outstanding teacher. She specialized in educating and led a stable life.
Considering that they were orphans, security and stability were what they wanted most. Although their fates were about the same, they looked forward to making a name for themselves most now.
After eating and drinking their fill, the four took out their test papers and started studying together.
Due to lack of family support, Tom, Gwen, and Edith’s current grades were actually average compared to Joshua’s.
But now, with Joshua being reborn and having memories of the SATS he had sat in his past life, he had no problem helping them improve their grades.
Currently, Joshua could just tutor them whenever he had some free time.
“Joshua, you have the best grades. With your help, we should be able to do better on the exams!” Tom laughed.
“Yeah, it’s great having you here,” Edith echoed with a smile.
“But Joshua, won’t this distract you from your own studies?” Gwen asked, feeling slightly worried.

Joshua chuckled and reassured her, “Don’t worry. It won’t. We’ll study, take the SATs, and go to university together! I have thought it through. As long as we’re together, no one can stop us!”
Gwen, Tom, and Edith exchanged glances, inwardly guessing what Joshua had been through at the Fraser Residence.
If truth be told, they all knew Joshua had a tough time living in the Fraser Residence.
Although the Frasers were wealthy, they didn’t give him a penny and even lived extremely niggardly.
Everyone said that Maggie and David were Joshua’s biological parents. Yet, they treated their adopted son much better than they treated Joshua.
He either got beaten or scolded when he lived at the Fraser Residence previously.
Now, Joshua probably had come round and accepted the fact that the Frasers didn’t care about him.
Unbeknownst to Joshua, Gwen, Tom, and Edith were actually electrified by his return.
After all, the four of them had relied on each other for a long time. Because of that, they all felt sad for a long time when Joshua found his parents.
If they were to talk about it, the four shared a quite similar fate. Other than Edith, Gwen, Tom, and Joshua were all abandoned by their parents.
In particular, Tom. He was abandoned as a baby. His parents left him in a trash can, which caused him to be nearly bitten to death by stray dogs.
As for Gwen, her parents abandoned her when she was three years old. The reason–she was a girl.
Edith was the only one who became an orphan from a young age because her parents passed away.
As there were still many chat histories to browse through, Wendy couldn’t finish them in a short time. Besides, she had lost all her courage to continue reading.
Why? It was because she searched and realized there were many more chats and archives, which likely contained more heart–rending contents, to go through.
Even on the phone, there were things Joshua had written in his online diary and posts he updated on his Twitter and Instagram.
Since Joshua had changed his numbers, he neither transferred all these chat histories to his new phone nor deleted them.
Wendy searched her own name and found countless historical entries.
At this juncture, Wendy didn’t dare to continue reading. She vividly remembered what happened that day. She took Joshua out for a trip once. Apart from them both, Frankie also tagged along. Joshua was full of beans in that outing, and his eyes shone brightly.
