“Alright. Madam, you just need to wait a while. The crabs are quite fat. Look, they’re all hefty,” Joshua said with a smile.
He had brought out more than 20 pounds of live shrimp and crabs today and had almost sold out.
Now, he had recovered more than half of his costs. The rest could be sold tomorrow morning.
His sales had been good because no one else in the market was offering live shrimp and crabs today.
Joshua swiftly started collecting his belongings in preparation for his departure after selling the final two kilograms of live crabs.
Joshua!”
Wendy’s eyes reddened, and she called out anxiously when she realized Joshua was not paying any attention to her.
She could hardly believe he was working in a place like this.
Joshua glanced up, “What are you doing here?”
He asked while continuing to pack his things.
Upon hearing that he didn’t even address her as a sister, Wendy felt a pang in her heart. She quickly asked. “We’ve been looking for you. Where have you been these past few days?”
“Looking for me? What for? I’m busy,” Joshua replied, putting his things on his small cart and preparing to
take the bus home.
He still needed to feed his live crabs and shrimp that he had at home.
“Joshua, you’ve been missing for six or seven days. Mom and Dad are worried. Shouldn’t we be looking for you? Come home with me.”
Wendy quickly reached out and took Joshua’s hand as he turned to leave.
Joshua immediately pulled his hand away and laughed. “What are you doing, Miss Fraser? I’m really busy right now. I don’t have time to argue with you. You should go back to where you came from.”
“Where do you think you’re going?” Wendy blocked his path as he dragged his cart.
“I’m going to catch the bus. I’m not like you.” Joshua said indifferently, “Step aside. I’m in a hurry.”
“Joshua, you’re not going anywhere. Come home with me first and explain everything to Mom and Dad.” Wendy blocked his path by standing in front of him.
Joshua glanced at her and suddenly laughed. “Miss Fraser, what are you talking about? Do I even have parents? No! What is there to explain? Besides, since you’ve found me here, you should have figured everything out by now. Why are you stopping me?”

“I don’t understand yet, and neither do Mom and Dad. We’ve all been looking for you, she said urgently.
“Looking for me? Joshua found it amusing. “Miss Fraser, don’t you feel embarrassed saying that? Sorry. I’m exhausted. I will not argue with you. I’m heading out right now.”
“Joshua.” When Wendy saw that he was refusing to go, she seized his arm once more.
However, she suddenly exerted force, and Joshua stumbled slightly. He suddenly collapsed to the ground as she pulled him.
Wendy was startled and immediately shouted, “Joshua?”
She looked closely and saw that he had already fainted.
Joshua, what’s wrong? Call an ambulance!”
The female bodyguards rushed over and quickly called for an ambulance when they saw Joshua lying on the ground.
Before long, he was taken to the hospital, and a group of doctors hurried in to assess him.
Wendy had never expected Joshua to pass out. Her face turned pale as she anxiously waited outside the hospital room.
She felt a chill deep in her heart.
After a while, the doctors finally came out.
“Who’s the patient’s family member?”
“I am!” Wendy hurried over.
The doctor glanced at her, frowned slightly, and said, “There’s no major issue, but there are several minor ones. His head wound is infected and hasn’t healed. He’s underweight, severely malnourished, anemic. and has heart issues. Are you his sister?”
Wendy was stunned. She hadn’t expected Joshua to have so many problems. Back when he was with the Frasers, there had never been any mention of so many health issues.
“I am.”
Wendy felt tears welling up in her eyes. She could never have imagined that Joshua was so frail and had so many ailments.
“Your brother doesn’t seem to take good care of himself. The wound on his head is from six or seven days ago, and it’s now infected. Let’s not even mention malnourishment. He needs to eat well and build up his blood strength, or he’ll faint again from anemia. As for his heart, that needs even more attention. He’s not producing enough blood,” the doctor continued and handed her a clipboard. “Sign here.”
Wendy wiped her tears, took a deep breath, and signed her name.
Then, the doctor took the form and left.
