Chapter Sixty–Four
Paul’s POV
Where are all the rogues that I am supposed to get from Wyoming? They were coming to me in small groups, so they didn’t draw any attention to the compound, the ranch, or the mine. So
far, only one hundred showed up. There should be six hundred here by now.
I called Vince up, wondering where my rogues were.
“Vince, where are the rogues? I have only received one hundred of them. I should have gotten
more.” I was pissed that Ramano is changing our agreement.
“We sent out seven hundred to you. They should have all been there by now. I can send
the manifest of all the rogues we have sent so far.”

“Well, they are not here. Find them!” I hung up the phone. I walked out of my office at the
compound, looking around at the rogues. They were either training or helping build bunkers for
the rogues that were coming from Wyoming.
“Liam, Lee! Come here!” I yelled at them. They walked up to me, wondering what I wanted
them to do. “I want the two of you to take a couple of teams of ten out and find these damn
rogues. Vince said he sent seven hundred rogues our way, but we are missing six hundred of
them. Find out what happened to them and come back to me with the report.”
“Yes, sir,” both of them said, bowing their heads. They ran over to the rogues that were training
and took twenty of them to go find the missing rogues.
I took the liberty of having Shelia and Teresa move to the compound, along with Ethan. The
girls got the smart idea of getting someone in the pack to spy for us. We have been getting
excellent intel from Teresa’s dad. But I can’t confirm it with my rogue spies around the
perimeter of the pack. Seems like they are disappearing too.
Lee and Liam took off with their teams, trying to find out what happened to the rogues that I
was supposed to get. An hour later, I got a phone call from Liam. They found twenty of them
dead. “What the hell happened to them?” I asked him.
“Sir, it looks like they were attacked. Their throats are ripped out. Someone was waiting for
them to arrive and got them before they got to the compound,” Liam reported. f**k! Who is
doing this? I was trying to figure out what was going on when I received another phone call,
this one from Lee.
“Sir, we found several groups, and they were killed. About one hundred and eighty were found

here. Their throats have ripped out.” What the hell! That is two hundred that were killed. Where
are the other five hundred?
“I want you, Liam, and your teams to search the area. See if there is an ambush going on. This is not sitting with me right, and I want to know what is going on. I will call back in a couple of
hours for a report.”
“Yes, sir,” Lee said and hung up. Someone knows that I am getting these rogues and is trying to stop them from joining up with me. Someone who knows about the attack that I am planning. The only people that know are the ones that I promoted to Deltas to help train and lead their groups in the attack. I will have to start looking into them and see if they are leaking information out to the other packs. I know that Greg has a lot of treaties with other packs, especially around here. I wonder if he has something to do with this. That is the only logical reason why my rogues are coming up dead and missing.
For the rest of them, I am going to rent a few buses and get them here, unharmed, and with no influence for them to leave my cause. I called Vince, telling him what I found out from my
search teams and I told him that I would be sending a few buses to get the rest. I should have
done that in the first place. That would leave me thirteen hundred rogues from Wyoming to
help attack Mountain Moon and take over the pack. Altogether, I will have thirty–three hundred
to attack. I can seriously taste the victory and I still have a few things to do before we attack.
Greg’s POV
The teams I sent out to stop the rogues from arriving at Paul’s compound were successful.
They brought in almost six hundred rogues to join the pack, and they killed almost two
hundred because they wanted to fight instead of listening to my offer of having a permanent
home. A lot of them had families and wanted to find something stable to raise their pups. I
have already approved one hundred new homes to be built, and we will also be building two more apartment buildings. The flux of new members in the pack has made me consider expanding the elementary and high schools.
The teams that I sent to Paul’s compound told me that he sent out two teams to find the
rogues that never showed up there. I told Becca and Ike to take care of the teams. The less
that Paul has, the better chances we have.
“Babe, what are you doing?” Tovi linked me.
“Commanding the warriors to take care of Paul’s search teams that he sent out. You ok?”
“I have some new pictures for the nursery that need to be hung. Can you please help me?”
“Yeah, I’ll be up shortly.”

I left everything with Jack while I helped Tovi. I walked into the nursery and Winter was lying in the middle of the room, watching the door, even though Henry was standing outside. I petted Winter on the top of her head, telling her that she was a good girl.
“Damn right, I am a good girl. I’m lying here guarding my girl here,” she responded. I chuckled and wrapped my arms around Tovi’s waist, placing my hands on her belly. Piper went into a kicking frenzy and Tovi sighed.
“She has been quiet all day, other than moving to get comfortable. Then you come along and place your hand on my belly, and she starts kicking and when she kicks, that s**t hurts!” she growled at me. So, I pulled her up to me and I kissed her deeply. That calmed her some, but
not much.
“You are still in trouble with me, mister. Getting your daughter riled up and having her take her frustration out on me. Wait until she is here and she gets frustrated, I am handing her to you.” I gave her a face of shock and then slipped in a quick kiss.
“You needed me to hang some pictures? Where are they?” I asked her, pulling away from her. She pointed to the crib. I walked over and looked at the pictures. They are cute. Cartoon drawings of wolf pups, bear cubs, fawns, and fox kits. She wanted them above the crib, so that is where I hung them. Tovi sat in her rocking chair and was supervising as she looked. When I was done, Tovi got up and looked at the pictures.
“Good job, sweetheart. I could make you a good mate eventually.” She giggled and kissed me. “I’m getting hungry. Let’s go get something to eat.” We went to the pack kitchen and we just missed lunch.
“Alpha, Luna, there are some leftovers for some lunch if you are hungry. Or I can make you something that you are craving, Luna,” Mrs. Cullens told us.
“Can I please have a turkey and ham sandwich and some raw veggies?” Tovi asked.
“I’ll have the same,” I told her.
Mrs. Cullens and Katie got to work making our lunch and I went to the fridge and got our drinks out, water for me, and orange juice for Tovi.
“Mrs. Cullens, do we have any chocolate cake with chocolate frosting? I am craving something terrible and would like a piece.” Tovi asked, rubbing her belly.
“Unfortunately, I do not, Luna. But I can make you a cake after I am done with lunch. What
kind of chocolate would you like? Dark chocolate, milk chocolate, German chocolate, white chocolate?”

“Could
you make a milk chocolate cake with white chocolate frosting?” Tovi asked.
“Of course, Luna. I will get everything together and I will start it right away,” Mrs. Cullens
replied. I know that Tovi will be in heaven because Mrs. Cullens makes the best cakes. I
cannot wait to have a piece when it is done. Katie placed our lunch in front of us and we both started to eat. Tovi watched as Mrs. Cullens gathered everything together and started to make the cake. I can tell that she wanted to jump in to help, but we all wanted her to take it easy and relax. When I was finished with my sandwich, I got up to place my plate in the dishwasher and kissed Tovi on the temple.
“Babe, unfortunately, I have to get back to work. I will be in the office if you need me,”
“Ok, I will be right here, hoping that I will learn her recipe and try to help.”
“Luna, you can sit right there and relax. I will write my recipe down for you so you can try it
after you have the baby,” Mrs. Cullens scolded her. I chuckled and walked out of the kitchen
