Chapter Seventeen
Paul’s POV
I cannot believe that I am getting kicked out of the pack because of that worthless stepdaughter of mine and Omegas in this pack! I have worked hard for this pack since I came here sixteen years ago and became a Gamma. I trained our warriors to be the best fighters, set up our patrols, so the rogues could never figure out when it was a suitable time to attack us, and our wolves were happy. Well, most of them. I was not thrilled that the Omegas were treated the same as everyone else. They did not deserve to have the respect high–ranking wolves do. They were paid for the work around the pack, got vacation days, and got to own businesses in our shopping center. In my old pack, Omegas catered to high–ranking members, got punished when they made mistakes, and became a punching bag for us if we were frustrated or upset. We would have several Omegas living together in a room, in a wing, in the back of the packhouse, just mattresses, a blanket, and three changes of clothes. That is all they need. Here, they have homes and families and are included in all the functions of the
pack.
“Paul, you need to hurry up,” Koty, one of the warriors, told me. I growled at him, grabbed a couple of duffle bags, and started to throw clothes in them. I grabbed a few pictures of me, the kids, and Lillian and placed them in the bag. I grabbed as much as I could. What I cannot take right now, I will have Lillian send them to me when I get to the city. I was trying to get as much as I could. Lillian walked into the apartment, seeing the warriors standing there and me
packing up my stuff.
“What is going on?” she asked me, nodding towards the bags.
“Gamma Lillian, Gamma Paul has been banished by Alpha Zane from the pack for his treatment towards your daughter and other Omegas in the pack. He has a half hour to leave
the pack,” Joey explained.
Lillian looked at me, smiling. “It is about time you got what you have coming,” she sneered at
- me. I was surprised that she said that. She has never gotten out of line with me. Why start
now? “I have told you about Tovi’s bloodlines for years, but you never believed me. You have thought that she was the daughter of an Omega because I never told you who her father was.
Well, she is the daughter of an Alpha, Alpha Pete Davidson from the Ocean Bay Pack, my
original pack. We were fated mates and were thrilled that we were. But his father, Alpha
Harold, threw a fit, threatening to kill me if Pete did not reject me and take a chosen mate
from another pack, a daughter of an Alpha. Pete knew I was pregnant with Tovi, so he rejected
and banished me to protect both of us. I came here because my aunt lives here with her mate.

So, for the last eighteen years, Pete has been sending me money to help support her, while
both of us have been keeping her paternity secret to keep her safe from her grandfather until
she turned eighteen. I have tried to tell you, but you would not listen to me.”
I got mad at her for keeping the identity of Tovi’s father from me. Hell, I knew that Alpha
Harold was looking for Pete’s heir and offered an award for her whereabouts. If I had known, I
would have turned her in and collected the one–million–dollar reward. She would be either
enslaved in another pack or killed by now, and I would not be getting kicked out of the pack. I
growled at Lillian, grabbed her by the throat, and slammed her against the wall.
“You b***h! You cost me one million dollars! I could have used that money, the both of us! All
because you wanted to protect that worthless little b***h!” I screamed in her face.
Joey and Koty ran and got me away from my mate. I was struggling to get free, so I could kill
her. Lillian dropped to the floor, gasping for air. She held up her hand and said, “Wait boys,
there is something I want to say to this scumbag. I, Lillian Kaye Gooding, Gamma of the Blood
Stone Pack, reject you, Paul Mathew Gooding, former Gamma, and member of the Blood Stone
Pack, as my mate and Gamma.” As soon as she said that, I dropped to the ground screaming,
pain searing through my chest.
I looked at her, sneering, “I, Paul Mathew Gooding, Gamma of the Blood Stone Pack, accept
your rejection, Lillian Kaye Gooding, of the Blood Stone Pack, as my mate.” She dropped to the
ground, screaming with pain from our mate rejection. I felt our bond breaking and any love I
had for her was gone. “I will make this pack pay for all of this,” I told her.
“It is time to go, Paul,” Koty said to me. I grabbed my duffle bags and walked out of the
apartment. We walked down the stairs and out the front door. My car was sitting up front,
waiting for me. I threw my bags in the trunk of the car, got in the driver’s seat, and started the
car. Joey got in the front passenger seat to make sure that I drove to the gates. Zane, Morgan,
and Richard followed me in their SUV with their security team. When we got to the gates, I
drove through and parked the car. We both got out and walked to the gates. Zane, Morgan,
and Richard were standing there. Joey walked through the gates, and they were closed as
soon as he got through. Zane looked at me and said, “Paul Davidson, you are now banished
from the Blood Stone Pack. If you try to come back onto the land, you will be immediately killed. You are no longer a member.”
“I, Paul Davidson, accept the banishment from the Blood Stone Pack and understand the
consequences if I try to come back to the pack,” I replied. Right then, I felt the bond break
through the pack and all the voices of the members in the mind link were gone. I turned and walked to my car, got in, and drove away to the city, hoping that I would be able to find the Rogue Alpha and have him help me destroy Blood Stone, Mountain Moon, and Ocean Bay for

Greg’s POV
After the meeting with Zane about Paul’s punishment, Pete and I walked out of the office and into the common room. Tovi was in the common room, cleaning up from the incident earlier with her sister, Siobhan. I went up to her, wrapped my arms around her, and took in her scent to calm myself and Deacon down. She giggled a bit, happy to be back in my arms.
“I missed you, my beautiful mate,” I whispered in her neck.
“I missed you, too,” she replied, with her arms around my neck.
I pulled back and gave her a quick peck on her lips, wanting to kiss her longer, but her father was standing right there behind us. Pete smiled as he watched us embracing each other, showing each other the love that we were creating for each other.
Lillian walked into the room, looking a little disheveled. I looked at her, and she had marks on her neck. That son of a b***h tried to hurt her before he left! I am going to kill him now, thinking that it is ok for him to put his hands on a woman! This is the mother of my mate, and I will help protect her as she is family now. Pete saw her and started to growl.
“Who hurt you, Lily?” he asked her, as she walked up to us. Tovi looked over and gasped.
“Mother, Paul did that to you again!” she exclaimed, revealing that this had happened to her
before.
“I’m ok,” she said. “Joey and Koty were both there and pulled him off me before he could do any more damage to me.” Remind me to thank you both when I see them. “Pete, it has been a long time, hasn’t it? You still look handsome as ever, like you never changed,” she remarked, looking at Pete lovingly. He walked up to her and hugged her, lingering longer than any usual hug. They pulled away and Lillian looked at Tovi, taking her by the hand.
“Tovi, I want to introduce you to your father, Alpha Pete Davidson of the Ocean Bay Pack,” she informed Tovi that it was her father in front of her.
