Chapter Sixteen
Zane’s POV
There was a knock on my office door, and I yelled to come in. I knew who it was. Gamma Paul walked in, bowing his head at me and Greg, smiling. He sat down on the couch, thinking that we were having the usual meeting we had in the mornings. I shook my head no, pointing to the chair in front of my desk. Paul gave me a puzzled look. Normally we would take our
normal seats. Not today. Another knock on the door, I said come in, four warriors came in. Paul was starting to get nervous. I believe that he knows that he is going to get punished for
his treatment towards Tovi.
“Alpha, what is going on?” he asked nervously. He started to shift in the chair as if he were
getting ready to run.
“Relax, Paul,” I commanded him, “we are going to have a little talk.”
“About what, Zane?” he asked.
“You know about what. We are going to talk about your treatment towards Tovi over the years.
You know how I feel about pack members bullying and abusing others in the pack. You have
seen me banish members for that. With the recent events that have happened and the
investigation that I have conducted, let’s just say I am extremely disappointed in you, especially being a high–ranking member,” I growled at him, leaning over my desk slightly. Greg was sitting on the loveseat, growling at Paul, too, because Tovi was his mate. I got a mind link from my guards at the gate, stating that we had a visitor. I told them to let him in, that I was
expecting him. Oh, this is going to get interesting.
“I do not know what you are talking about, Zane. I have treated all our members with kindness
and respect,” Paul stuttered a bit. I stood up and shook my head, going around to sit on the
front of my desk.
“I am disappointed in you. You want to sit there and lie to your Alpha. Especially when I have
the proof and testimony from other members of your treatment, not only with Tovi, but several
other members, especially the Omegas. I don’t know how you were raised in your old pack, but
here, ALL members get treated equally and do not get treated like they are slaves. Omegas
are just as important to the pack as you, Richard, and me. Not only do they keep the
packhouse clean, our meals cooked, laundry done, and the landscaping nice and tidy, but they also help raise all the children in the pack, become teachers and business owners, and become some of our best warriors. Omegas are just as vital to this pack as any other pack in this world. Without them, no pack would be able to function properly. They are not to be

punching bags when you are upset, get whipped when they upset you, or get shoved around if
they are in your way. I have had several Omegas come to me over the years of your abuse and now, I find out that you have been abusing your stepdaughter for years because you thought that she was an Omega, when in reality, she is truly from a strong Alpha bloodline.” I lectured him. He rolled his eyes when I told him about Tovi. I was fighting to contain Cain, as he wanted to come out and rip Paul’s throat out.
“Tovi is a lowly Omega. She and all the other Omegas in this pack do not deserve any respect or place in this or any pack,” Paul said cockily. “They are weak, cannot fight, nor can they protect other members when a fight or war is going on. They need to be constantly reminded of their place in this world and that it is the high–ranking wolves that matter and rule this
world. They do not.”
Suddenly, there was a growl from the door. We all looked, and I saw Alpha Pete Davidson from
Ocean Bay standing there with a look to kill on his face. Paul’s face went pale. Yes, buddy, you messed with the wrong daughter.
I walked up to Pete, shook his hand, and welcomed him into my office. “Welcome Alpha Pete.
You are just in time. Please, take a seat,” I said to him, pointing at the loveseat. Before he sat down, he walked up to Paul, grabbed him by his shirt, and picked him up out of the chair.
“You seriously think that my daughter is a lowly Omega!” Pete roared in Paul’s face and
started to tremble because Pete and his pack were one of the strongest in North America.”
My daughter happens to be from extraordinarily strong Alpha bloodlines, on both sides of the
family! And you are sitting there stating that she is an Omega and does not deserve any respect or place in any pack, I ought to rip you apart piece by piece!” He threw Paul back into
the chair with such force that the chair tipped backward, and he was rolling on the floor. “I
know that Lillian tried to explain to you over the years that Tovi is not an Omega, but an Alpha,
but you continued to ignore her and kept on abusing Tovi, Pete continued, his eyes were
starting to glow, his wolf starting to break through. “Lillian and I talked throughout the years,
to know how my daughter is doing and how she is being treated. I wanted to get her, and bring
her back into my pack. I could not because she would not be safe in my pack with my father
around. He would kill her before her eighteenth birthday because she is the heir and true
Alpha to Ocean Bay. Now, she is safe to come home and take her rightful place in the pack.”
Greg looked over at me, wondering if Pete knew that Tovi was his mate. She would have her
plate full, being a Luna at Mountain Moon and an Alpha at Ocean Bay. We will discuss it later.
Pete sat down next to Greg and nodded his head at me to continue. I cleared my throat, getting Paul’s attention. He set the chair back up and sat down, looking at me.
“For your crimes towards other members of the pack and the abuse of your stepdaughter, Tovi,

“I told Paul, getting a growl from both Greg and Pete, “Paul Davidson, I hear by stripping you of your Gamma title and banishing you from the pack lands, making you a rogue. If you are spotted on my land after today, you will be killed immediately. You have one hour to collect your things, say goodbye to your family, and be off the land. Your family may either join you as a rogue, or they may continue living here in the pack. Warriors, please escort Paul to his apartment and only allow him to take the basics, and make sure that he does not take any important pack papers with him. You have one hour.”
“This is not fair!” Paul yelled at me as he jumped out of his chair. “I will make sure that you will pay for this!” Then he turned to Greg, with a pissed–off look on his face. “Tell that b***h of your mate that she better watch her back. She thought the whippings that I gave her were bad. Wait until I find her alone and I will get her back! She will be begging me to kill her when I am done with her!” Both Greg and Pete jumped out of the loveseat, ready to attack him. The warriors got between all of them, grabbing Paul and escorting him out of my office.
“Paul, your days are numbered. As soon as I am done here, I will hunt you down and kill you myself for hurting Tovi!” Greg warned him. “Make sure that you sleep with one eye open from now on!” Pete looked at Greg with a surprised look on his face.
“Is my daughter your mate and Luna, Greg?” Pete asked him. Greg nodded his head.
“Yes, Pete, she is my mate and I intend to protect and love her until my dying breath,” he
exclaimed. Pete smiled and hugged him.
“Welcome to the family!” Pete announced. He was happy that the most powerful Alpha was
his daughter’s mate. “At least I can worry less now that she has you in her life.”
