Chapter Ten
Chelsea stood up, with a smirk on her face. This is not going to be good.
“Alpha,” she said, bowing her head, “Alpha Greg was just trying to seduce me, wanting me to
become his Luna.” My jaw dropped to the ground. Lying little b***h!
“Is this true?” Alpha Zane asked me.
“Hell no, it is not!” I said angrily. “I went to take a shower, just freshening up from the trip.
When I got done and walked in here, I found Chelsea in here, uninvited. She tried to seduce me
and that is when I mind–linked my Beta and Gamma to get in here ASAP. Jack pulled her off
me and put a blanket around her and Jason got you. The only person who will become my
Luna is my fated mate.”
Beta Richard glared at Chelsea, disappointed in his daughter’s actions. Alpha Zane sighed
and glared at her.
“What were you thinking, Chelsea?” he roared. “Alpha Greg is our guest, and you are trying to
start a war with a powerful pack! Richard, take her to the cells and keep her there until our
guests have left. I will deal with her later. I am not going to have another run–in like this while
Alpha Greg and his friends are here.”
“But Alpha,” Chelsea screeched, “I deserve to be a Luna since I’m not Corbin’s mate, and Alpha
Greg is not mated yet!” I rolled my eyes at her and growled. I will not have someone like her as
my Luna. All she cared about was money and power. I want my Luna to be down to earth and put the pack and the members first.
“I don’t want someone like you, Chelsea, who is conceited and self–centered,” I told her. “A
Luna has to care about all the pack members, regardless of their status, and help build the
pack bigger and stronger.”
She looked at me like I was crazy and gasped. She could not believe that I would reject her
advances. Beta Richard grabbed her arm and told her to go, that he was taking her to the
cells. She started to cry, apologizing to her father but I can tell by the look on his face that he
has had enough of her s**t.
“let’s go or will I have to have the warriors bring up the cuffs, cuff you, and take you to the cells?” he explained.
She stood there with a defeated look, pulled up her dress, and marched out of my room. Alpha
Zane turned and was about to walk out.
“Alpha, could I have a word with you quickly?” I asked him. He nodded his head and told his

warriors to go. I told Jack and Jason to head out, and that I would meet up with them shortly. After everyone left, I took a big breath and looked at Zane.
“Alpha, I wanted to be the first to tell you that I have found my mate here in your pack. Your Omega, Angelica, told me who it is, and I am nervous and excited at the same time,” I explained to him. His eyes got big, a smile across his face, and grasped my hand.
“Congratulations, Alpha Greg!” Zane exclaimed. “I am thrilled that one of my members is your mate. Who is your mate so I can have my Luna secretly prepare her?”
I ran my hand through my hair and looked at him. “Sir, I was told that it was Tovi, whose scent I am going crazy over. I was told that she has had a rough life, and I would love to make her life so much better,” I explained. “I want you to know that I will love her, care for her, and spoil
her until I take my last breath.”
“Yes, Tovi has had a rough life. The sad thing is that it had been happening right under our noses and she never said a word. The only way we found out is just recently when she got into trouble at school because of Chelsea and her stepfather was going to allow Richard to punish
her. But when he saw the scars on her back, he knew it had been going on for a while. So, he
came to me and told me what had been happening. I went to the pack hospital and pulled her records. Tovi has experienced numerous broken bones, had stitches put in quite a bit, and had
several concussions. As soon as she got out of the cells, I had her brought to the Alpha floor
to live until she figured out what she wanted to do,” Zane explained.
“Also, her stepfather is my Gamma, and I will be demoting him after our meeting and
banishing him from the pack. I do not want that kind of treatment towards my pack members
to happen while I am the Alpha,” he continued. “She has been pampered and spoiled by my
Luna and daughter ever since she moved to my floor.”
I growled and Deacon wanted to come out and find Gamma Paul. That man does not deserve
banishment. He deserved death. What was his reason behind abusing her, I may never know.
“Why did he do that to her?” I asked.
“Because Tovi is not his daughter. Lillian had her before he came to the pack. Lillian confided
in me and Morgan when she first moved here that Tovi’s real father is Pete Davidson, the
Alpha of Ocean Bay. Pete was Lillian’s first fated mate and he was forced by his father to
reject her and take a chosen mate with good Alpha lines. But what Harold does not know is
that Lillian’s mother is from Red Ridge and is a daughter of the Alpha there. Tovi has strong Alpha bloodlines in her and it shows in her personality. Tovi is a fighter, cares for others, does not stand down, and can be bullheaded at times. But I can tell you right now that you have the perfect mate, and if you hurt her in any way, I will show up at your door and we will fight. I

have always loved her as a daughter and I know that she will have a good man to love and
care for her,” he explained.
I was upset that I was not here to protect her, that she kept her pain and hurt away from Zane and Morgan, protecting that worthless piece of s**t, Paul. Wait until I meet the son of a b***h. I am going to knock him on his ass, kill him once he goes rogue, so Tovi does not have to constantly look over her shoulder for the rest of her life. But first, I need to meet her and win her heart over, let her know that she will never get hurt intentionally ever again. I will show her
what true love is.
I thanked Zane for the information, and I got dressed. I mind–linked Jack and Jason to meet
me out back, as I needed to talk to them.
Half an hour later, Jack and Jason were standing on the patio, waiting for me to come out. They both bowed their heads, showing their respect. We were childhood friends, with Jack being my cousin. I have told them that when we are at home, they do not have to bow their heads, but when we are at other packs or out in public, then they would have to bow their
heads.
“What’s up, cousin?” Jack asked, shoving me on the shoulder. I shoved him back and almost had him in the bushes. Jason stands there, shaking his head at the two of us.
“Well, I found my mate. I can smell her around, especially in my room. I haven’t met her yet, but I will tonight at dinner.” I told them both. Jason smiled and shook my hand, while Jack
gave me a hug.
“Congratulations, Greg! It’s about time and maybe she could calm your ass down some,”
Jason joked.
“Yeah, man, congratulations! I know you have been dreaming for this day since we were pups. You better treat our Luna like a queen,” Jack said.
Richard came out and announced that Zane is ready for the meeting in the conference room. We nodded and followed him down the hallway. We walked in and there was snacks and drinks spread out on the buffet next to the table. Zane was already sitting at the head of the table, with a werewolf that I have yet to meet.
“Greg, this is my Gamma, Paul. Paul, this is Alpha Greg Salyers from the Mountain Moon Pack. Hopefully, we can figure out a solution to this rogue problem,” Zane introduced me to Tovi’s tormentor. It kept everything in me to control not only myself, but also Deacon. We quickly shook hands and I sat down next to Zane, with Jack and Jason next to me.
