Owen wasted no time packing up his and Luca’s belongings as soon as the wedding ended.
Three years ago, he made a deal with Vivian to save me. He would stay with her for three years and then return to me after giving
her a grand wedding.
Luca was equally excited, circling Owen like a restless puppy. “Dad, after everything I did to hurt Mom, do you think she’ll forgive
me?”
“Of course,” Owen replied with certainty. “Your mother is the kindest person in the world. She’ll accept the both of us.”
Although he had said that, a flash of unease crept into his heart as he recalled the look in my eyes the last time we met.
He needed to hurry. Even though his time with Vivian had been enjoyable, the one he truly loved was me. Whenever he saw me
clumsily try to remind him of our past, he felt both moved and heartbroken.
They packed quickly, but just as they were about to leave, Vivian blocked the doorway. “Owen, where are you going? Today is our
wedding night. Can’t you stay with me for tonight?”
Her silk robe slipped slightly off her shoulder as she spoke, revealing smooth, fair skin.
But he didn’t spare her a glance. He tightened his grip on Luca’s hand and strode past her. “Sorry, Vivian. Our agreement is over.
It’s time for me to get my memory back.”
He left without hesitation. Her face drained of color, but she could not stop him.
Arriving at my villa, Owen excitedly said, “Shannon, I remember everything now! Luca and I are home!” However, only silence
answered him.
They searched every corner of the villa for the next two hours, but there was no sign of me.
