Derek took my car out in anger, and I knew better than anyone never to drive in an angry state. After all, I was once involved is an accident after Keira’s death, luckily it wasn’t severe.
I chased after him with a cab, while dialing his line, but he didn’t pick my calls. “Speed up” I growled to the cal man and he glanced at me in irritation.
“This is the maximum limit 1 can go. I don’t plan on dying just to please a customer.” He scoffed with a roll of eyes
Lignored his sassy comment, staring in front as Derek took a sharp turn to the left. I doubted he knew where he was headed, and probably just wanted to let out his frustration. I could understand his anger, even I was pissed at Kaiden. I knew how much Derek had waited for his mate and when he finally found her, he couldn’t even be with her forever.
The fact that Kaiden felt no remorse after killing Layla was enough to piss anyone off I understood he was doing everything to protect Rory, but Layla was just as important to Derek as Rory was to him. Kaiden had always been selfish, but has somehow worsen since the arrival of Aurora.
I was partly to blame for this too. If I hadn’t ignored Derek and my parents, then he wouldn’t have thought of becoming the gamma of Silvermist just to fix the broken bond between me and the family. But at the same time he wouldn’t have met Layla, right? Or maybe he would have, but at the later future.
“I’m going to burst your brains if you don’t follow that car.” I threatened angrily, watching the car disappear into the roadway.
The cab man snorted, staring at me from the front mirror with doubt. “I have a gun here. I added in a low tone, revealing the gun to him. His face showed fear as he nodded quietly before speeding after him..
1 sometimes carried a gun around for protection. You never know when it would come handy and it seems it did just now. Though this was a silver bullet gun, not like its effect would be any less detrimental to a human.
“Don’t lose track of him.” I warned, pressing the gun on his head and he nodded violently in fear.
I was going about this the wrong way, but I needed to stop Derek before he does something stupid. I needed him to know I wasn’t picking sides like he claimed, I was always on his side. Hadn’t I showed that each time Kaiden picked on him?
“Derek!” I screamed his name when we were close enough. I knew he could hear me.
“Get me more closer to him.” I instructed the man, and his eyes showed defiance. He wanted to protest, but my glare shut him up
He drove up very close to Derek. I withdraw the gun from his head, moving to the front seat and poking my head out of the window to look at Derek
“Stop this please, you’re going to hurt yourself, Derek.” I pleaded in concern, but he wouldn’t even look at me. His check were wet with tears and his eyes red in anger.
“Stay out of my business.” He s snarled, casting me a side glance before stepping on the pedals.
“Follow him!” 1.commanded sternly without looking at the cab man, but he didn’t react to my request instead he reduced his
расе.
I spun around to look at him with a quizzical look. “Do you wish to die?” I snarled.
“I didn’t plan to race to death when coming out here.” He stated boldly. “Asking me to chase a person in the middle of road is same as killing me” He informed, shaking his head to the thought.

I nodded with pursed lips. I had no intention of killing the man and he was right about dying from over speeding, especially on a highway like this.
“Get out.” | commanded, putting the gun back on my waist band.
His eyes widened in shock, “Right here?” He muttered, staring at the road.
“You don’t want to die, neither do I want have plans of killing you, so get out.” I explained in stoic voice.
“What about the car?” He stammered out in concern.
“Are you more concern about your life or your care?” I questioned in amusement. He seemed to weigh his options before stepping on the brakes, and reluctantly getting out of the car without another word. I took over the driver’s seat and followed Derek who was now far ahead of me.
“You’re going to get hurt if you keep driving like that.” I muttered to myself in concern staring at Derek’s reckless driving.
I breathed sharply, stepping on the gas to get him. I was almost at same pace as him when the blinding light of a truck came piercing into my eyes. I blinked my eyes shut, using my hand to cover the effect of the light. The next thing I heard was the crashing sound of metals. I instantly opened my eyes to see Derek’s car being thrown up to the air before it came crashing
on mine..
The car turned upside down before landing on the other end of the road. My head felt heavy with pain and my eyes dizzy from the impact. I breathed heavily, trying to get out of the vehicle, but my foot seemed stuck somewhere. I looked down to see my foot under the pedals. I pulled on it several times to free myself but my straight failed me.
I groaned in defear as I stared helplessly into space, seeing people’s feet drawing closer to me as my vision kept getting blurry. Derek, I thought in panic as the darkness consumed me.
