Kaiden told me everything about the North council and how they wanted to experiment on me to test my abilities.
“What if they try to kill you for disobeying them?” I asked in worry, nibbling on my lower lip.
“I’m not weak, love. I’ll fight them till death if I need to” He said firmly, his eyes pricking with determination.
“Neither am I weak, baby.” I whispered, staring at his face. “I don’t need you dying for me.” I shook my head in disapproval caressing his face.
“It’s my duty to protect you, love.” He responded calmly, placing his hand on top of mine.
“But not at the cost of your own life!” I snapped in irritation, withdrawing my hand forcefully. “What’s the worst that could possibly happen? It’s just a test, you’re probably just being paranoid over nothing.” I said, but he wasn’t having it.
“I’m not being paranoid.” He stated through gritted teeth, “I know how they think and I won’t be taking chances.”
“You will not be stepping out of this house and that’s final!” He declared in finality, his jaw tightened in fury.
“You can’t keeping me in this house!” I shot back in frustration, my eyes burning in anger, I tried to standing from his laps, but he placed his hand firmly on my waist, preventing me from moving
He chuckled cruelly, “I can, love. I’ll do whatever it takes to protect you even if it’s means keeping you here forever.” He stated, devoid of any emotions.
“Need I remind you that I can kill you right now?” I threatened, with a smug smile, crossing my arms.
“Are you threatening me, love?” Kaiden’s eyes glinted in a amusement, his lips twitching in a cruel smile.
“No, I’m not.” I responded, feigning innocence.
“Kill me then, love.” He dared with a sardonic smile, facing me to stare into his eyes.
“What?” I whispered in surprise, as I felt his hot breath on my face. Our lips barely an inch away.
“You wanted to hurt me, right love?” He mocked, tracing the sides of my face with his fingers.
“I didn’t mean it that way.” I argued, instinctively pushing my cleavage closer to him.
“It doesn’t matter if you meant it that way or not.” He argued, pressing a chaste kiss on my neck. “How about you try testing your abilities on me, love?” He offered, licking the area along my collarbone.
“No, I won’t. What if I hurt you?” I shook my head in protest, rocking my hips on his length.
“Don’t do that” He warned, his voice rasped from the lust in them

“But this is different.” I argued, trying to make him see reasons with me, but he was as stubborn as I am.
“You can always heal me if you hurt me.” He waved of, like this was just as easy as changing dresses.
“I’ll be fine, okay?” He said softly, his eyes sharpened with trust.
My shoulders slumped in defeat, “Alright fine, but if you feel pain, stop me.” I mused and he nodded in agreement.

“Let go.” He urged with a forced smile. I didn’t understand what he meant by letting go, but I only did what seemed possible.
I rushed over to the kitchen counter, grabbing a knife and slicing it through my hand. I walked back to where he stood, clenching my fist and forcing the small droplets of blood into his mouth.
“Do you feel better?” I asked eagerly, but he didn’t respond. He only stared at me before his body hit the floor.
“Kaiden!” I screamed with tears pricking my eyes. I shook his body with shaky hands, the tears blurring my vision.
