Kaiden
“You finally grace us with your presence” The council head, Magnus, remarked sarcastically as I walked into the hall ported by one of their servants.
“I was starting to think, we would need to come get you mselves” Jonathan, one of the council member added with dissatisfaction boldly written on his face.
“I was busy” I stated cuntly, ignoring their exaggerated worde
“Busy Jonathan chuckled in invitation, standing from his thre. “Need I remind you that we are above you, and you should always abandon everything when we call for you”
1 laughed in amusement, crossing my arms. “And you seem to have forgotten that the only reason you are still being smug about your position is because I didn’t fight you for it, Alpha Jonathan” I retorted smugly
He hissed in anger, his eyes burning in fury as he opened his mouth to respond but Magnus cut him off.
“Enough, Jonathan Magnus commanded, his voice thundering through the entire room.
Jonathan jaw tightened in anger, slumping into his throne. He had always been known for his fierceness and his uncontrollable anger which was somewhat similar to mine.
“Please sit.” Peter, the third council member said softly. Peter was referred to as the soft spoken one.
I glanced at them before hesitatingly sitting on the chair placed at the center of the room, obviously meant for me..
“We didn’t call you here to start a fight.” Magnus said, glancing between me and Jonathan.
“Then why am I here, Alpha Magnus?” I asked, my patience wearing thin.
“See that, Alpha? He has absolutely no respect for us.” Jonathan interjected, pointing at me with fury in his eyes.
“Be quiet, Jonathan Magnus shut him up, and Jonathan grumbled in defiance, reluctantly obliging to his command.
“I understand that you are strong, Kaiden, but you will accord us some respect. Magnus warned, with an edge in his tone.
I backed down in reluctance, ignoring the protest from Shadow. I didn’t want to go against one of the strongest werewolves. Magnus was the North council head for a reason, he was the oldest and was the strongest wolf amongst them.
“I heard you killed Beta Mathew” It wasn’t a question but an statement. Beta Mathew was Ariel’s dad and he was an advisor to Magnus, as well as their ears in my pack.
It was never a crime to report pack information to the North council according to the rules.
“Yes, I did. He betrayed my pack and I couldn’t let it go just like that.” I waved off simply
“You should have reported to me.” Magnus stated in an unreadable expression.
“Since when did you care about who I killed?” I snapped, unable to control my anger. I hated anyone question me, be it the
North council
Magnus laughed, “Ohh trust me, I still don’t care.” He spat out nonchalantly before adding, “however you killed my advisor
which is a crime.
oing to punish me or something?” I arched a brow in amusement and interest.
“So what? Are you going to

“Punish you?” Peter chimed, “Can anyone pomish you, Kaiden?” He was amused by the thought
Magnus shot him a warning glare before turning back to me “Your mate. Aurora was it He asked with a smile that dile’r reach his rye.
This was about Aurora abilities. How did they get a wind of it so far?
“Yes, Alpha Magnus” I responded through gritted teeth.
“I heard she is no ordinary human.” He stated, ticking his teeth, it is said that you rated her and the managed to escape
death!”
“Yes,” I said in a low tone. They wanted to talk about Aurora but to what extent?:
“And she killed your pack member without flicking a finger?” Jonathan quipped, his eyes glinting with something dark.
“I don’t know about that. Alpha. No one is that powerful to kill a person without flicking a finger right?” I responded sarcastically, pretending not to know.
Ariel’s dad was dead so I wondered who took on his role. Whoever it was, sure is more capable than Ariel’s dad would have ever been
“Don’t play dumb with us, Kaiden.” Peter warned in a calm tone that almost made it impossible to know he was angry.
“It doesn’t matter if he plays dumb or not. We already know what happened two nights ago.” Jonathan said with a smug
smile.
“That is why we have come to a conclusion to put her through a test.” Magnus announced.
1 snapped my neck to him so quick that I heard a bone crack, “A test?” I breathed in anger.
“We can never know what she is if we don’t test her abilities, right?” Magnus responded with a cruel smile.
“I mean no witch could even summon death so easily. It’s impossible.” Jonathan chirped, shaking his head in disbelief.
“We need to how to what sort of creature she is.” Peter reassured sending my hesitance.
This wasn’t about just testing her capabilities, this was about their ego. They were supposed to be difficult to kill, but that was no longer the case anymore with Aurora’s existence. They were scared their lives was now at risk and wanted to get rid of her quickly.
A test? It was simple just act to hide their true intentions.
I smiled, keeping a straight face, “So when exactly would this test be carried out?”
“As soon as possible.” Magnus responded sharply.
I nodded slowly, giving them a reassuring smile, “I will deliver her to you in two days time.” I informed cooly, getting up
from the chair.
“We await your visit then.” Magnus quipped.
1 nodded in agreement. Without another word, I stormed out of the handing over my Aurora to them. Seems the battle was about to begin.
