Aurora
“Honey?” I arched my neck to the sound of the awfully familiar voice but saw no one.
“Tin right here, honey. The woman repeated, and I spun back to see my mother standing right there, by the doorframe.
“Mom?” I stuttered in shock, slowly approaching her. My mother was dead, there’s no way she could be here right now.
“Yes, Aurora. It’s me.” She confirmed, with her warm smile that had a way of making you forget your fears.
I swallowed, stretching my hands to touch her. My fingers brushed her face, and she leaned to it before pulling me into an embrace.
“I’ve missed you, my little baby. My mom mumbled softly, patting my hair.
She pulled back, caressing the sides of my face but I couldn’t respond. I was too stunned to speak
How is this possible? I saw that werewolf tear her body. Was I hallucinating or something?
“You’re all grown.” She commented, tears pricking her eyes. She wiped the tear off before it could roll down, plastering a wide smile on her face.
“You must have questions.” She said with a knowing look and I nodded my head, recovering from my shock.
“How.” I started, swallowing deeply, “How are you alive?” I stammered trying g to process cat
She pulled me towards the bed, forcing me to sit while she sat beside me, holding my hands.
“I’m not alive, honey.” She clarified with a sad smile on her face.
“So I was hallucinating after all.” I blurted, with a sigh.
She chuckled, shaking her head. “No, honey, you’re not hallucinating. This is your subconsciousness. She corrected, causing me to furrow my eyebrows in confusion.
“I’m in your subconscious, honey.” She said again like it was normal.
“How?” I asked with mixed emotions. I was happy I finally saw my mom after years but it just had to be a dream. But I was still grateful I could see her once more.
“I’m here to guide you, honey. I know you’ve unlocked your abilities and you’re confused about everything” She explained “I can feel the powers flow within you.” She added, nodding towards to my hands.
“I have lots of questions.” I admitted, raising my head to look at her. She nodded her head, urging me to go on.
“What exactly am I. Mom?” I asked in a serious tone. With everything going on. I didn’t know if to believe my dad anymore.
“You’re Aurora Flynn, descendant of the Moon goddess” She confessed, her words in sync with what my dad’s
“You can withstand everything. You’re gifted, honey and far more stronger than your grandmother were.” She complimented. rubbing my hair with proudness.
“I killed a person. Mom. If being ‘gifted‘ means killing people by simply wishing them dead then I don’t want it.” I said in a harsh tone, yanking my hands out of hers and turning my face away.
She sighed, slowly turning my head to her. “I understand what you mean but you can’t throw away your strength. Your mind

is your most powerful tool apart from your Islood of course” She revealed and my face piqued with interest.
“My blood?” I repeated and she nodded, releasing my faer,

“The Moon goddess gave you the ability to heal with your blood and kill with your mind.” She explained with a sigh that told me it was far beyond that.
“It is said that our ancestors were friends with the Moon goddess, Aethera which made her bless our lineage with special gift because of the kindness they showed her during her time on earth. The first Aethera descendant, Raymond had similar gifts with you but only healing parts.” She explained..
“I thought it was only passed down to the first girl child in a family?” I asked in confusion processing her words.
“True but Raymond was the only child so it technically was his. However, after Raymond time, the powers began skipping to the next generation if there are no females.” She clarified.
“What was your strength?” I asked in curiosity.
“I had vision of things yet to happen.” She said with a small smile on her face.
-If you
could see visions, how come you didn’t notice how much of bad parent dad would turn out to be?” I blurted before I could realize it
“And did you know you were going to die?” I added, staring at her with intensity.
“I loved your father and I didn’t care much about what the future revealed to me. Visions could be wrong argued, “And yes I knew I was going to die.”
g sometimes.” She
“Why didn’t you stop it? And do you know the wolf responsible for your death?” I quipped with slight irritation.
“It was bound to happen, honey and I couldn’t stop it so why bother? And it’s not like I knew exactly when it was going to happen.” She defended, intentionally ignoring my other question.
She knew who it was,
1 opened my mouth to speak again but she cut me off, “Enough about me, honey. This is about you and how to use your powers
“Your blood can heal everyt informed
y sickness and even bring a man back to
life however such healing came with a price.” She
“What price?” I asked.
“Your life, honey.” She replied calmly. My life? Now that is definitely cruel.
“Your blood needs to be taken little to heal a person.” She added before saying “that is why you were able to heal your mate from the curse because he took your blood.”
“And the other ability?” I asked cautiously, scared of mentioning the word.
“You can summon death without flicking a finger. All you just need to do is project your mind to it.” She explained with a worried tone.
Why would the Moon goddess give anyone the power to kill others?
“That’s how you killed that girl. You thought of her choking on her spit with so much concentration and possibly anger.” She explain. She was right about me being upset with Lily. Lily had been getting in my nerves.
“How do you know everything?” 1 asked in confusion.

“You need to control your mind better. You have battles ahead of you to fight, honey and you need to be strong for them.” She revealed, standing to her feet and I followed suit.
“What does that mean?” I asked in a hurry as she started walking towards the door. She spun around with smile, but didn’t respond to my question.
“You can always ask for my help by calling for me and I will be here. She stated.
I nodded, wrapping my arms around her. I knew it was time to go already but I didn’t want her gone.
“I’ve missed you too, Mom.” I mumbled, sniffing as I tighten my arms around her.
“It’s time to go, honey but I promise to always be here for you.” She reassured, breaking the embrace.
“Now go face your battles.” She shooed, pushing me.
I gasped in shock, not expecting it. I felt my body falling to the floor as her she slowly disappeared from my vision. I shut my eyes waiting for the impact, but it never came.
I blinked my eyes open to meet Kaiden staring at me with worry in his eyes. “Another nightmare?” He questioned, wiping heads of sweat foamed on my forehead.
“No and I don’t think I will be having one soon.” I gasped, staring into his eyes
