I walked beside Kaiden to the dinning table, my arms hooked around his. The pack members were already seated at the dining table set with food. Kaiden guarded me to the empty seat next to his before taking his spot at the head of the table. My eyes roamed around the table, staring at the pack whose eyes glistered with defiance.

This definitely wouldn’t be easy as I expected.

Ryker extended his hand to my side, taking mine and Kaiden’s dishes. He walked over to one of pack members in charge of kitchen duties and switched the food with theirs.

I stared at his actions in confusion and surprise. Why were we receiving vegetables in return and Was this some sort of food testing?

I nodded my head in understanding, waiting patiently for him to commence dinner.

“You may all start.” Kaiden commanded after Ryker returned our food. I picked my fork, instantly digging into the vegetable and I had toed better than it looked.

1 raised my head, meeting his eyes gaze, “Fat” I ordered, shooting him a disapproving look.

A smile tugged on his lips, as he stared at my confidence in amusement before obliging to my command. Kaiden was a picky cater, so it was no surprise that he actually didn’t eat much of the veggies, but pretended to for my sake.

I’ll probably make something for him after we’re done from here.

“As you all know. Kaiden began, stabbing the fork into the food. “Aurora is my mate.” He declared, looking up from his plate.

His words drew the attention of the pack members who all listened attentively. There was no sound heard despite the annoyance the held in their eyes.

Was Kaiden that scary or was he a good leader? Though he was totally different from the man in the bedroom with me some minutes back.

“Or do I need to remind you all again?” He asked with an edge in his tone.

“No, Alpha.” They echoed in response, except for Derek and Ryker who sat beside me with indifferent look.

He nodded in satisfaction before adding, “I have marked her and we’ve also mated.”

My cheeks burned in embarrassment. He didn’t need to openly announce to everyone that we had sex!

they hate me that much? Few of them were intrigued by the story and stared at me like different species.

I should feel sorry for her, but I didn’t. She has been getting on my nerves since I arrived so this was a lesson for her. I knew Kaiden would only input fear in her, nothing much.

“This is why I hate showing mercy Kaiden growled in anger, snapping his neck to her.

“I’m-” She choked out, backing away from him but he reached her in a stride, wrapping his hand on her neck.

Kaiden loosen his grip on her neck when she started choking butt she didn’t spoke choking. If anything. Kaiden didn’t really hold her that tightly for her to choke that much.

“I can’t breathe. She muffled out, placing her hand on her chest.

Slowly, she fell to her feet, spitting out cluster of blood from her lips. My blood ran cold at the sight of blood.

“Please stop this.” She pleaded, staring at me.

Why was she begging me to stop what I was incapable of?
