“Are you okay, love?” Kaiden asked softly, his face etched in concern. We just returned to back home.
I blinked, plastering a smile on my face, “Of course I am, love. Why won’t I be?

I was processing every information I had gotten from my dad and wondering what to do with it. It has now been confirmed. that I wasn’t any ordinary human, but what next?
There must a reason I was given the strength of self healing and that reason was what scared me the most.
“You don’t look okay, love.” Kaiden stated curtly, strolling over to the bed calmly.
His weight sank the bed low as he brushed his finger tips on my face.
I sighed, biting my lips “I’m just trying to process everything, Kaiden.” I informed, meeting his gaze.
“It doesn’t change anything, Aurora. You’re still you, regardless.” He assured, pecking my lips lightly.
“It changes everything, Kaiden. My dad said my powers lies with my mate. What do you think that means?” I asked in paranoia
“He simply meant I unlocked your powers” He said as a matter of fact
“Yes, I already know that.” I rolled my eyes, “but to what end? What was the purpose of unlocking it?”
1 probably had some sort of purpose to fulfill, right? Was it just meeting Kaiden and unlocking my power? And more importantly what exactly where this powers‘ I had?

curve.” He announced in a serious tone.
I stared at him in confusion, “But I didn’t break your curse, Kaiden.” I countered.
He gave a small smile, “I was skeptical when Shadow mentioned it, but now it’s all clear to me.” He said, confusing me even
“Shadow” 1 questioned. I knew Shadow was his wolf and I equally knew that Shadow was uncontrollable, you couldn’t get through him. After all, I had experienced a little of his brutality.
“The moon goddess cursed my ancestors long time ago for disobeying her. For generations, they tried to break the curse but all seem futile.” He started, taking a deep breath.
So the curse was generational? He had earlier told me he was cursed, but I never bothered to ask why.
“The curse only came after the first boy child in each generation just like how your gift was reserved for every first girl child. It came in different way for everyone of us. He explained, wetting his lips.
“Never had I thought the curse would be broken and I doubted Shadow’s words, but not anymore.” He declared in seriousness, “I wondered each day why the Moon goddess mated with a human mate and even cursed her for it.” He chuckled softly.
“You were made for me, love. You helped me cure the curse and I unlocked your essence.” He concluded, shrugging it off so casily.

He had never brought up the idea of becoming Luna, neither did he want me too close to pack members. Though I could understand his fears of them hurting me because of hatred the held towards humans.
“Let’s just say I think you can handle the position now.” He replied.
I raised my eye brow, “And I couldn’t before?” I challenged feigning anger.
