“Today’s is your birthday and I wanted to do something special for you.” She explained, her cheeks turning crimson red.

It was truly my birthday, but I never celebrated it.

Chapter 69 

“Is that why you dressed quite pretty for me?” I asked sarcastically, my lips pressed together.

“Happy birthday, Kaiden. She whispered, ignoring my comment.

“Thank you, love” I gave her a smile, but it didn’t reach my eyes.

I didn’t want to undermine her efforts to make me feel special on my birthday. I only celebrated birthdays when I was younger, but as I grew older I realized there was nothing worth celebrating when my existence was a curse.

“How did you today was my birthday?” I arched a brow in question. “I don’t remember telling you.”

“I saw your passport,” She explained curtly and I nodded in understanding, silently eating my food without another word

I could hear her heart thumping against her chest. She was bite her lips nervously, twirling the fork in her hands whilst pretending to be eating

“Why are you nervous, love?” I asked without raising my head up.

“Can’t you fuck me today?” She blurted out nervously, staring at me.

I scooped her into arms, and she yelped in surprise wounding her arms around my neck.
