1 was angry at everything. After everything I’ve done just to keep my secret from Aurora, the bad still discovered. She was disgusted by me, and as though that wasn’t enough to flare my anger, I had another mode in this park

“Kaiden?” Ryker ask in surprise, opening his doors. He hadn’t expected to see me in here—on a full moon

I was equally surprised by the calmness I woke up to this morning. I didn’t understand the cause of the abnormality‘ in my body, and I was too busy to find out what changed.

“I heard Rhea escaped.” I stated, ignoring the question on his face, I made a short trip to the club before coming here, and Derek had informed me of what transpired yesterday after I left.

“How did you know?” He raised a brow in question.

“Does that fucking matter now!” I shot back, and he swallowed shutting his mouth. “Where were you when she fucking left this house?”

“In the club,” He stated curtly.

“And where was Derek?” I questioned in an authoritative tone. There were my beta’s and gamma for a reason

“Derek went to see Layla, and the other pack members were at the club. He explained. In as much as I wanted to lash at someone, I couldn’t blame Derek for seeing his mate.

“And our warriors?” 1 badgered. I never believed anyone could escape my hold except I set you free

“They were knocked out by the time we returned. Their food were drugged.” He announced, and I groaned the anger. This was definitely an insider.

“I’ve captured everyone who worked in the kitchen yesterday.” He informed, and I hummed in response.

“Aurora knows about us now.” I informed, and his eyes widened in surprise.

“How did she get to find out?” He asked quickly,

I sighed, rubbing my forehead, “Luke attacked us, and I had to reveal my true self to save her.”

“And Aurora? How is she taking the revelation?” His forehead furrowed.

“Not good, Ryker.” I admitted, shaking my head. “Gather everyone for a meeting.” I demanded, and he nodded in response.

I walked away from him, pausing in my tracks when I caught sight of Ariel. I studied her silently as she strolled to her room. She was the biggest suspect, but I wanted to believe she wasn’t that stupid to betray this pack. She knew exactly what happened to traitors.

Chapter 62.

“Ariel.” I roared, before she could step into her room. She turned slowly, her body stiffening when her eyes meet mine

The corner of my lips curved in a smirk as I crossed the room, “Why are you tensed?” I asked, the accusation in my voice

“Kaiden. What are you doing here?” She stuttered, backing away from me. I couldn’t tell if she was scared of seeing me here or scared of being revealed.

“I’m the alpha of this park, Ariel, Can’t I be here?” I asked mockingly

“I mean why are you here in a full moon?” She corrected, forcing a smile on her face, but I was no idiot. I could perceive her fear, after all it was my area of expertise–creating fears in people’s heart.

“Aren’t you coming for the meeting?” I asked coldly, ignoring her question. Without waiting for her response. I turned on my heels, walking to the hall

The silence was almost deafening as I stormed into the room holding a few pack members which stayed behind. I climbed the podium, sitting on my throne. Their hearts were limping from their chests, obviously waiting for me to attack just like I had years back.

“I won’t attack.”I drawled out with a sneer on my face, “Yet I added with a dark glint in my eyes. Their fear shot up to a higher degree as the words left my mouth.

“I was attacked yesterday.” I started slowly, standing to my feet as I slowly descended the podium. “My mate and I were attacked.” 1 corrected, my eyes burning into each their faces.

“And Rhea happened to escape same day.” I added with a dark laughter, with an edge in my voice, “Such an interesting coincidence, don’t you think?”

The fact that they all hated Aurora’s existence made it hard to suspect just Ariel.

Their goal was Aurora which was why we were attacked a day to the full moon, because the traitor had hope I couldn’t be around anymore. But of course, Luke had better plans. I should have expected this much after Aurora’s existence came to limelight.

“We all know what happens to traitors, right?” My voice echoed through the quiet room.

“Are you all fucking mute?” I spat out, my jaw tightening when I didn’t get a response to a question.

“We do, Alpha.” They chorused quickly to my earlier question.

“Good, and you also know covering for a traitor also makes you an enemy?” I added, my face twisting.

They hummed in response, and I nodded in satisfaction.

“I will remind everyone of what happens to a traitor when I catch the mole. I declared, my lips drawing back in a snarl. “So make sure to enjoy your time before I find you.” I added with a sardonic smile, locking eyes with Ariel.
