I admired myself in the mirror, grabbing my beige color purse before stepping out of the

room.

“For you.” I responded with a cheeky grin, approaching him.

“You look beautiful, love.” He complimented, snaking his arms around my waist when I was close enough.

“And you look handsome.” I said softly, my eyes meeting his. He hummed in response, pressing his lips on mine.

“We’re going to be late, Kaiden.” I scolded, placing my hand on his chest gently.

Or we could just stay home.” He offered reasingly, his eyes gleaming in mischievous. 1 chuckled, shaking my head as I stepped aside from him.

He intertwined our fingers, before leading me out of the apartment. I realized Kaiden was way more touchy than I thought of him, and sometimes cute when he was in a good mood.

“Your seat belt.” He commanded, settling into the car. I rolled my eyes, crossing the seat belt over my body.

“Doesn’t safety also apply to you?” I asked sarcastically, pointing to driver’s seat belt which he hardly ever made use of

“Are you saying I’m weak?” I argued, feigning anger.

We soon got to the club, which was oddly packed with people regardless of the time.

It was only just morning, and people were already here drinking? Well it was probably profitable for Kaiden–the more people trouped in, the higher his income.

“Do you plan on sitting in there forever?” Kaiden’s sarcastic voice, drew me out of my thoughts. I blinked, realizing I had spaced our calculating his market value.

He held the front door open for me, “Thank you” I whispered with a smile, stepping out of the car as he shut door after me.

He pulled me inside the clubs, his hand possessively pressed on my lower back as though to stake his hold over me. Whispers of “Alpha‘ rang out as we sauntered into the club, while all I got were disdainful look. Had already gotten used to his title by now, so it no longer sounded off as the first time.

I couldn’t per say why his servants, or rather employees seemed to hate me when I’ve never even strike a conversation with them before. Apart from Ryker and Derek, I was certain I haven’t met any of them anywhere before not to talk of offending them

My face deepened into a scowl as 1 sank on the chair in front of Kaiden’s office.

“Someone is suddenly gloomy” He commented softly, inching his seat closer to mine. “And here I thought I was the one with the mood swings. He said playfully.

“You still are.” I replied in agreement, with a soft chuckle.

“So what’s on your mind, love?” He pressed, refusing to let go of the issue.

I let out a sigh. “I think your employees hate me.”

“No, they don’t.” He argued meaningfully, but I shook my head, unconvinced by his words.

After telling me he had no family, I sort of hoped to get closer to his servant since they were now his family.

“They look at me with disgust.” I added bitterly, reminding the way glared at me.

“You’re just being paranoid.” He stated dismissively, and 1 shoot him a sharp glare…

“Don’t act like you didn’t notice it.” I argued stubbornly. He ignored me, standing to his feet and scooping me into his arms.

“What are you doing?” I squirmed around, my eyes darting towards the door to check if anyone was coming in.

“Relax, love. The door is locked.” He reassured, walking to his bedroom in the club.

“You’re supposed to be working.” I scolded, feeling my body hit the soft bed.

“I could also work on you.” He whispered in my ear, and I couldn’t help but shudder from how hot he sounded.

I opened my mouth to respond but he silenced me with a rough kiss. I tried to push him away to catch my breath, but he caught my hands, pressing them above my head. It seemed as though he planned on imprinting his kisses on my soul.
