My lips curled in a sardome smile as I listened to the whispers amongst the pack memberi after Kaiden left with his dut. They were surprised by Kaiden’s action and angered by the presence of a human in their mider. My plan worked perfectly

Spoofing that slut’s message to make her come here, and exposing her existence which Kairen was desperately trying to hide. I knew the news would soon spread like wildfire, and Kaiden’s enemies would soon come for her. They were making my job easier. I didn’t need to get my hands dirty.
“The meeting has ended, you can all return back to your duty post Ryker announced, standing in the middle of the his eyes locking with mine
For a moment, it felt like he could read right through me making it difficult for me to maintain a calm expression under his burning eyes.
“What is the meaning of this? My dad snapped, as the pack members left the hall.
I let out a sharp breathe, my heart finally starting to beat again when he broke eye contact.
“How could be just leave in the middle of an important meeting because of a mere human? My dad added angrily, his eyes meeting mine with a glint. He was almost believable, I’m certain no one would think he had an idea about my plans.
“I think you need to calm down, Eric Ryker’s dad said smoothly, but he was clearly surprised by the scene.
“How can I calm down? How can he be so intimate with a human, and ignore his role as alpha?” He roared, his eyes blazing fre.
“I think we both know why he acted that way.” Ryker’s mom chimed positively.
“She’s clearly his mate.” Ryker dad deduced, looking skeptical about the situation.
“It doesn’t matter who she is, Simon. We both know what would happen to her soon.” My dad argued wryly.
“Why are you still here, Ariel?” Ryker asked coldly, ignoring their bickering. “Last I checked, you are not part of this council” He added without an atom of emotions, reminding me of my new position in the pack
I was no longer occupying the position of Luna, though I felt otherwise. I now stood with the other pack members in meetings, unlike before when I do sit close to Kaiden on his alpha seat.
No one would probably believe I had anything to do with Ryker behind closed doors from the coldness in his tone, but I was no different either.
“Why are you attacking, Ariel, and not the Alpha?” My dad snapped angrily, defending me.
“And why are y
you talking to my son that way? He’s the beta of this pack.” Ryker’s mom growled out, shooting to her feet.
“Mom.” Derek called out, speaking for the first time.
“And Derek,” She drawled out, pointing to him, “is the gamma of this pack. What is your daughter’s role!” She challenged proudly, placing her hand on her waist.
My dad and Ryker’s dad were both beta’s during their youth, and their never ending battle of whom is superior never ceases

“It doesn’t matter what her role is. She’s my daughter, and your son has no right to talk to her like that, beta or not.” My dad

roared, rising to his feet. And just like that, the meeting held to discuss on the pack’s protection soon turned into family

I huffed, glaring at Ryker who had a tired look on his face before reluctantly moving my feet to the door. I heard Ryker’s footsteps closely behind me as I walked to my room but fignored him—he was probably going to his mom.
I turned the door knob of my room, gasping in shock when I was pushed inside the room. My back prested against the hand wall, Ryker’s breath famming me as he stood barely inches away from me.
“You don’t need to attack me to fuck me.” I commented in irritation, trying to calm my pounding heart
“What did you do, Ariel?” He asked coldly, ignoring my snarky comment.
“What do you mean by that?” I retorted angrily feigning ignoratice:
“You know exactly what I mean, Ariel. Don’t you fucking play dumb with me. He growled out, and I swallowed hardly. maintaining a strong facade.
“I don’t know what you are talking about,” I denied sharply.
He chuckled with a mocking smile, his eyes shooting arrows to me. “I hope you can defend yourself when Kaiden finds out what about you did.”
My breath hitched at his words. How could he see right through me when no one suspected me?
“I didn’t do anything“” I argued, refusing to accept defeat. I knew he didn’t buy my words from the way his eyes lit up in pure amusement.
“You’re disgusting, Ariel.” He spat out grimly, “I didn’t know you were that desperate to become Kaiden’s Luna.”
“So what if I want to be his Luna? I love him!” I declared boldly, my resolve slipping off.
“Love? Do you still believe you’re in love with Kaiden?” He sneered, the corner of lips curving to a smile
“What? You think I’m in love with you because you’re banging me?” I taunted.
“You’re just fucking stupid.” He insulted, “Why would I want to ever get involved with a slut like you?”
“Because you’re equally as despicable as I am.” I shot back, leaning on the wall.
“I don’t know what you are playing at, Ariel, but stop it now.” He snarled, ignoring my comment, “That’s an advice.” He added, backing away from me, and leaving the room without waiting for a response.
“Unfortunately, Ryker, I can’t stop.” I whispered to no one as I heard his fading footsteps. “I always get what I want.” My lips curled into a smile. Ryker wouldn’t stop me from getting back Kaiden.

Kaiden
Imagine the shock 1 felt seeing Aurora in the pack house, and most importantly how the fuck did she get there? She claimed 1 sent her a fucking text which I clearly didn’t.
Why would I do that, and risk exposing her existence to the entire woll packs!
“Where is that place?” She asked for the hundredths time since we returned from the pack house, lying on my bed. I ignored her question again, trying to come up with a suitable lie.
“My family home. I said after a moment of silence.
“Your family home?” She repeated, her eyes crinkling
I hummed in response. “Yes, Aurora. Those people you saw in there are my family’s servant, and we were holding an important meeting before you came in.” I explained further, the lies falling out my mouth flawlessly.
It wasn’t an entire lie. The pack house was my home, and the pack members were my servants in a twisted way.
Her features softened slightly, “I’m sorry I interrupted your meeting. I was pissed you missed the funeral for no reason, and I might have overreacted. The guilt in her words were clear.
I smiled, but it didn’t reach my eyes. I didn’t care about the funeral, but the fact someone was messing with us both made my blood boil..
“It’s fine, love.” I said calmly, though I was far from calm. I would probably be regarded as an asshole for making her feel guilty over nothing..
“But why were you in a haste to leave?” She asked quizzically
“Should I have let you gone home alone?” I shot back sarcastically
“Maybe you should have carried on with your meeting, and I would have waited for you.” She offered thoughtfully, and I chuckled darkly.
There was no way I would have let her spend a minute more in the pack house. She was lurking around danger without even her knowledge.
“You were pissed at me for ‘forcing you to come to the woods‘ remember?” I mocked.
“It’s not my fault. You sent me a text to meet you there, and suddenly you’re asking my purpose of coming on getting to the house. She defended firmly.
“For the hundredth time, I didn’t send the message!” I snapped angrily.
“Then who fucking did?” She retorted,her eyes flickering with anger.
“Get some rest.” I said coldly, ignoring her mini outburst. I stood up from the chair, and headed for the door but she quickly blocked my path before I could even step out.
“What now?” I asked harshly. It was a miracle I haven’t hurt her for screaming at me whenever she was pissed. I sort of learnt anger control around her, and lash out lesser than I would with others.
“Where’re you going?” She questioned.
“I’m going out.” I declared, and she frowned in displeasure.

“I’m sorry, okay?” She said quickly in an attempt to persuade me to stay back.
“I know I said impassively, trying to move past her but she wouldn’t bulge.
“I said I’m sorry I believe you okay? Don’t leave me huh?” She said softly, faking a tear.
I sighed, staring at her face before walking back to the chair. I wasn’t leaving because I was angry at her as she believed. I was going to the pack house to have a little chit–chat with them.
“Come here” I commanded as she walked towards the bed. She hesitated slightly, probably thinking I was still pissed at her. before taking slow steps towards me.
I tapped my lap for her to sit, when she stood in front of me. She bite her lips before sitting on it stiffly
“I’m not angry anymore so you can relax” 1 sighed, repositioning her properly on my lap. She relaxed, wrapping her arms around my neck.
“I didn’t know you were that wealthy.” She said softly, referring to the pack house.
The pack house was old with the outer walls looking scary even, but it screamed wealth from inside. The reason the outer walls were left that way was to scare humans from coming in.
“Now you do.” I responded smoothly, pulling her closer to me
“I realized how little I know you.” She muttered quietly, and I agreed with her. She knew no better than my name, and whatever I let her know.
“I mean you’re my boyfriend, and I’m supposed to know a lot about you just like you know everything about me.” I clarified, and I nodded, the corner of my lips curling in a smile.
“I’m your boyfriend?” I repeated in clear amusement.
“Aren’t you?” She challenged, her eyes locking into mine as though daring me to say otherwise. I guess that’s what humans. call our relationship.
“I would prefer you call me your man. Boyfriend sounds a little too childish, don’t you think?” I arched an brow in question.
“Okay, you’re my man.” She corrected with a wide smile.
“What do you wish to know?” I asked in a light tone, though I had an idea what she would ask.
“Everything about you,” she drawled out.” Starting from your family.” She declared.
My eyes glinted, watching her wait patiently for my response. “I have none.” I said flatly.
“What do you mean you have none?” her brows drew together in confusion.
“My parents are dead, love.” I declared blankly, inhaling her scent sharply.
“I’m sorry, L.” She stuttered, her voice cracking in guilt.
I chuckled slightly, brushing my hand on her face, “It’s fine, love. It’s not like you killed them.” I said softly, with a sini look on my face.
“How are you so calm about it?” She whispered, gloomy from my words, “I still feel sad over my mom’s death.” She mumbled her voice barely above a whispered.
Because I killed them, love, I responded internally.

“Sulky over it won’t bring them back.” I responded cuntly, feigning enne er about these deaths
“How did they die?” She asked curiously, her eyes meeting mine.
1 smiled darkly. How was I to explain to her that they bleed to death after 1 tore into theesh and hard on vind memory

Instead of responding to her, I shut her up with a kiss, and her reaction was worth it. She grounded on my hard dick berp moving in sync with mine. I smiled into the kiss, pleased with myself for distracting her. I stood up to my fees, moving to the bed slowly without breaking the kiss.
Looks like I will deal with the pack issue later.
