AURORA POV 

The first thing I noticed when I woke up was a small beam of light cutting through the dark room. My body felt cold. I was nearly naked with only my underwear on, tied to a bed

Panic hit me hard. My breathing became quick and shaky as I struggled against the restraints.

A tear slid down my cheek. I was going to die because I trusted the wrong person. Kaiden had warned me, but I didn’t listen. Instead, I let the enemy into my home.

Owen’s expression darkened. “Good question,” he muttered, his hand brushing over my arm. I wanted to pull away. His touch made my skin crawl. It was nothing like the warmth I felt when Kaiden touched me. But tied up like this, I couldn’t stop him.

“Your precious Kaiden killed Grace,” he finally said, his eyes locking onto mine.

I didn’t know who Grace was, but from the pain in his voice, she must have been important to him. Even so, I didn’t believe him. Kaiden wasn’t a killer.

“You don’t believe me, do you?” Owen said, amused but angry at the same time. I turned my face away, fighting the urge to spit at him.

You think Kaiden is some kind of hero,” he sneered “But he’s not. He’s a monster”

He grabbed a fistful of my hair and forced me to look at him.

“What?” I whispered, confusion knotting my thoughts.

Owen smirked, his expression dripping with satisfaction “That’s how much your all–powerful Alpha Kaiden loves you he said smugly. “And I plan to use that to my advantage.”

His eyes locked onto mine, dark and unwavering. I want him to feel the pain of losing someone he loves

He stood up abruptly, leaning over me. My breath hitched as he pressed his lips against mine, forcing his tongue into my mouth before pulling away.

“I understand why he’s obsessed with you,” he murmured, his gaze burning with something far worse than anger. “Your lips taste divine. I can only imagine how good you would feel against my dick.”

My breath caught in my throat as he switched the call to video. He lifted the phone so Kaiden could see me.

“Aurora” Kaiden’s voice was filled with panic.
