Aurora

My eyes blinked open, sitting up of the room

the bed. I was in Kaiden’s room. Frried myself to sleep last night after he stormed out 

I sighed tiredly, rising from the bed and walking over his mirror. My hair was a mess, my eyes slightly red from tears.

I raised my arm up,remembering the bruise from yesterday but was shocked to see nothing I scrunched my face in confusion, inspecting the arm further and going as far as checking the other arm but found nothing. It disappeared just like the other time but I was certain I saw it. But there was no possible explanation for it

I huffed in confusion, stepping out of the room. I was shocked to see Kaiden in the living room when I came out, dressed in his casual clothing. He raised his head, sparing me a glance before turning his attention back on his meal.

I couldn’t help but wonder where he slept last night, since he let me stay in his room, but where could a person possibly go to in a towel? I shook my head, taking my mind off him. He made my stance in his life clear last night, so I shouldn’t clinging unto him

I ignored him as well, proceeding to my room. Considering he was in his casuals, that meant he would be home all through. There was no way I was going to breath the same air with him right now.

Suddenly remembering I hadn’t seen Layla for a while now, I took my shower, deciding to visit her. It was the best place to get my mind off Kaiden.

I stared at myself in the mirror when I was done dressing, before heading out of my room. I stood by my door watching the back of Raiden’s head, hesitating to inform him on my plans or just ignore him.

Choosing the former, I crossed the room standing in front of him. He sighed, raising his head from the book in his hand. His eyes roamed my body, taking in my appearance. I wore a short floral midi dress.

“I’m going out.” I informed coldly, ignoring his stare on my body.

He chuckled darkly, “You’re a little too eager to jump into Owen’s arm, don’t you think?” He asked sarcastically.

“What?” I said in confusion. Where did he that get idea from and more importantly why does he care anyway?

He rose up from the couch, his jaw tightened in anger, “You’re not going anywhere, Aurora.” He commanded firmly, leaving no room for discussion.

I laughed bitterly, running my hands through my hair in frustration, “What exactly is your problem, huh?” I snapped angrily, stepping closer to him, showing him I was not scared of his stupid threats.

“I’ve warned you to fucking stay away from Owen but you are enjoy seeing me riled up.” He said in rage, the accusation surprising me.

“I enjoy seeing you riled up?” I repeated in amusement. “You are the one who enjoys doing that.” I snarled, hitting his chest with my hand but he didn’t as much as budge.

“Do you love toying with my feelings, Kaiden?” Lasked, holding his gaze feeling. “You’ve done nothing but continuous murt my feelings.” I added, inhaling sharply.

“I didn’t” He began but I raised my hand cutting him off.

“No, Kaiden. You’ll listen today.” I ordered angrily, surprised by his compliance. “You’re mean asshole with personality. disorder which I refuse to allow hurt me any longer.” I spat out angrily as he listened.

“You drew the line between us yesterday and today you act jealousy about me seeing a man?” I asked rhetorically.

“It doesn’t work like that.” I continued, watching his eyes flicking between different emotions. “After all we’re nothing” I said bitterly, using his words against him

Without waiting for his response, I stormed out of the house angrily.

Layla bombarded me with questions about my time with Kaiden, right from their entrance gate. I exhaled as she followed me inside the house, pestering my car like an annoying ly

“Can 1 at least get water first?” I asked in sarcasm, standing in the living room.

She smiled sheepishly. “Yes of course. Sit down.”

I huffed, sitting in the couch with a small scowl on my face as she disappeared to the kitchen. The anger I felt from my outburst earlier still persisted.

“Here you go, Mrs Thane.” She beamed jokingly, sitting a tray containing a glass of juice and cookies on the table.

“Stop it, Layla” I warned angrily, her joking annoying me further.

Though it wasn’t her fault for being so inquisitive but mine for claiming I was in a relationship with him. How stupid I was

“Why? You’re shy about being Mrs Thane?” She persisted, clearly not reading the anger in my voice.

“I said to fucking stop!” I snapped, my voice coming off more harsher than I intended.

The smile in her face disappeared replaced with hurt, staring at me with surprise at my sudden outburst.

“Sorry…Layla I didn’t mean to scream at you.” I said immediately, guilty trapping me as I stared at her hurt expression.

I was becoming exactly like Kaiden. Taking out my frustration on others.

“I understand if you don’t want to tell me but you don’t need to be a meany about it.” She responded, recovering from her shock. “I mean I haven’t seen my bestie for a while because you were caught up in your love affair. Is it so bad to be interested in your love life?”

“No, it’s not. I’m sorry, Layla.” I said in sincerity.

“Well, I don’t hold grudges.” She responded with a pout, after a while of silence.

1 laughed in response, “of course, her highness.” I said teasingly, holding the glass of juice close to my lips, and taking a sip.

“But why are you so sensitive? Did he wear you off with a lot of sex?” She asked suddenly, causing me to choke from her random deduction.

“Layla!” I scolded, wiping off the juice I spit out.

“What? Men like him often love sex a lot and have a big dick” She added shamelessly, my ears bleeding from her several speech.

“Okay, stop, stop” I demanded sharply.

“You can’t say you didn’t see it, Rory? I’m sure he’s big there.” She persisted. My cheeks flushed slight because she was right about him being big, though I had never really touched his manhood.

“It doesn’t matter if he’s big or not. We’re not in a relationship” I said with a sullen face, pushing the thoughts of his body

“What do you mean by that? You told me you guys were dating and even intimate?” She argued with confusion in her fare

“I jumped into such a stupid conclusion without asking. I’m sorry for the misinformation” I responded cuntly

She spared me a glance for a second, understanding I didn’t want to get into details. “He acted like an asshole afterwards didn’t he?” she asked reading me.

“Yes. A very mean jerk. He said we were nothing and it’s just my delusion” I replied, my voice cracking slightly remembering

his words.

She spread her arms open for and I quickly accepted the comfort, as she pat my hair gently.

“Definitely a mean jerk.” She agreed with my words. “Forget all about him and move on okay?” She said soothingly and I nodded, pulling away from the hug,

“You’re sure you won’t be mad that I settled for someone else other than Mr Thane asked teasingly, my heart feeling less tight than it was.

“I don’t care about him anymore. I won’t hesitate to kick his ass for hurting you.” She responded, throwing a punch to the

air.

I laughed, watching her demonstrate on how she would beat him up. She probably wouldn’t be able to throw a punch in if he were to face her.
