I rose to my feet as the door of the apartment pulled open, revealing Kaiden. I rushed over to him at the entrance door with a wide smile on my face, wrapping my arms around his body.

“Move aside.” He commanded, way colder than the Kaiden had grown fond of the past week.

“Did you have a bod at work?” I asked curiously ignoring the coldness. He had mood swings often to maybe it was one of those days.

“It’s none of your fucking business.” He growled out, his eyes hardening on mine. I was surprised from the sudden anger towards me, he was just fine when he leaving for work and I didn’t remember doing anything wrong to him.

“Did I—” I began but he cut me off by pushing me aside, causing me to stumble and hit my butt on the cold floor.

He was back his aloof self. He didn’t spare me a second glance, as he strolled into his room, leaving staring at his disappearing figure in astonishment.

Recovering from my shock, I pick myself up from the cold floor, hissing in pain as I lifted my arms up. I noticed the ugly bruise on my elbow glaring at me. Damn my body for being so fragile.

I walked over to the his door, wanting to get to an explanation for his behavior. I had at least believed we had grown past all this, considering how intimate we had become.

I knocked on the door, patiently waiting for a response but got none.

Was he already asleep or was he ignoring me?

I pulled on the door knob and was surprised when the door opened. I stepped inside the room, the sound of running water filling my ears. I skeptically glanced around his room, preparing a speech to deliver to him once he was out of the bathroom.

“What the fuck are you doing here?” Kaiden’s voice boomed startling me.

I spun around to see him in a towel wrapped around his waist, water dripping from his hair as his gaze washed over me.

“Stop eye fucking me, Aurora!” He reprimanded his breath fanning my face. My checks burned in embarrassment.

“Get out!” He snapped suddenly, pulling me out from my sexual trance.

I yanked my hand away from his strong grip, glaring at him. “What is your problem?” I snapped, having had enough of his mood swing

“I did nothing!” I defended, pulling away from him.

“You did everything wrong, Just get the fuck out of my room? He responded with a snarl

Thuffed in frustration, pushing my hair from my face. “You were fine this morning. We were okay until you went for work Did something happen?” I asked, staring into his blue eyes for some sort of answers but as always, he was unreadable to me

He didn’t respond to me, only stared at me with a tight jaw. I could tell he was suppress his anger but at what exactly!

“Is it because of Ariel? You saw Ariel and you suddenly felt guilty about what we’re doing?” I pressed further, my heart clenched in jealousy.

I knew how desperate 1 sounded, but I didn’t care because I wanted him. Though I said I was fine with sharing but deep down. I knew I was lying to myself. I wanted him all for myself.

“What we’re doing?” He repeated, his eyes glinting in darkness ignoring my comment, “What exactly are we doing. Aurora?” He asked stepping close to me, his height towering over me.

“How can you ask me such a question?” I asked in anger, “I understand you’re dating Ariel but you can’t toss what we have aside just like that.”

He chuckled, his fingers tracing the sides of my face. “I don’t know what you think we have, but we’re nothing.” He declared cruelly.

My heart clenched in bitterness, his words like dagger to my heart. “How can you say that to me? We- I began with a broken voice but he cut me off sharply.

“We had nothing, Aurora. I don’t remember ever confessing love to you” He said, his words hurting me than I already was, “It was all you, Aurora. Always so desperate for my dick.”

My hands flew up to smack in but he caught it mid air, “I might have let you hit me before but not again.” He warned, his eyes burning into mine.

“I hate you, Kaiden.” I screamed angrily as a tear roll from my cheek. He smirked mocking, letting go of my hand.

“No, Aurora. You love me.” He corrected smugly, wiping the tear from my cheeks. “Now get out.” He added.

I pushed his hand away from my face angrily, “Fine, I will leave! I will get out of your life!” I screamed and his express turned scary.

He grabbed my face roughly, his nails digging into my chin. “Don’t you ever threaten to leave me again.” He warned “Because I’ll bring you back here if you do and trust me when I say you will regret ever knowing me.” He threatened, his voice dropping low.

He let go of my face, pushing me to his bed angrily as he strolled out of the room leaving me lying there in despair.
