Evie had been acting off all day after I found out she shared another kiss with Kaiden. She was walking on egg shells, scared I would expose her secret to Michael. I was disappointed at how hypocritical she could be. She preached ‘duty‘ each time, yet didn’t adhere to dumb preaching. She was acting affectionate with same enemy she stood against, and hurting Michael with by her actions.
I didn’t dare confront her, scared she may change her decision to perform the ritual. No, she wouldn’t cause she felt attracted to Kaiden. I should have known her reluctance in breaking the pain cycle curse was just a pretense to hide her true desires. Her feelings for him didn’t matter to me–He’s mine.
I knocked on Kaiden’s door, but it got no response as expected. “I’m coming in.” I announced, turning the door knob. He wasn’t in bed, but I could hear the running water in the bathroom.
I walked in slowly, and shutting the door behind me. I paced around the room with my hands behind my back as I let my eyes roam the room. My eyes dimmed as I caught sight of the clothes I brought him in the wardrobe. They were lying on the wardrobe unworn.
I huffed in frustration, walking towards the shelf and pulling out of the clothes. The briefs weren’t here. That explained why he was mostly on a boxer.
“What the fuck?” Kaiden snapped, stepping out of the bathroom.
I spun around, holding one of the cloths up. “What’s the meaning of this?” I questioned in a stern voice.
He didn’t respond, wiping off the wetness from his hair, and ignoring me like I was invisible.
“They are not my taste.” He responded nonchalantly, sizing me up like I was trash. I bite my lips, closing my eyes to clear the anger before opening them. That was when I finally looked at him, like looked past his face. He was quite muscular, and the water that droplets of water on his body only added to his perfect physique. My throat dried staring at him feasting my eyes with his body. My eyes trailed down, stopping at his lower body when I caught a sight of his huge dick.
“Ahhh!” I screamed in shock, slapping my hand over my face. I hadn’t expected he would be that shameless to step out of the bathroom naked knowing I was standing here. I spun around, facing the other side of the room.
“Why acting shy, little witch?” He asked in mockery, “Wasn’t this what you wished for?” He added in accusation.
My face flushed in embarrassment. I did hope to own him entirely, but It wasn’t my plan to accidentally see his dick.
Why was I thinking about his dick? I reprimanded in my head. I shouldn’t feel ashamed, he should. He was the naked one here, not me. My hand slipped down my eyes as I turned to face him.
“I didn’t wish to see you….” I trailed off, gesturing to his abs with redden cheeks. It was difficult keeping my gaze up on his face.
“What do you want?” He demanded, taking a limp towards me, his eyes sharpening in disdain. It was same question always. He was so cold to me, it was a little disappointing he hadn’t warm up to me after days together.
But what had I expected anyways? That he would hug me, or suddenly starting liking me?
I swallowed, standing stiffly when he lowered his gaze to my face. His eyes burned into mine as though searching for answers. His face remained stern as always, his eye lashes wet as he blinked them, pursing his lips in deep thoughts.
He looked far better up close.
“I don’t know what you hope to achieve, but I despise you, little witch.” He spat out with a cruel smile on his lips. I blinked my eyes in confusion, staring at him blankly. He was drawing the line.

“I still hate witches, and that hasn’t changed.” He added with a dark smile, straightening his back. He snatched the cloth off my hand, brushing past to his wardrobe.
“You hate witches or just me?” I asked my voice raw in emotions. “You hate witches, yet you like my sister?” I scoffed with stink eyes.
“Your sister is different!” He defended, tightening his jaw. I snapped my neck towards him. He was fully clothed now.
I smiled, resting my hand on my waist, “Because she’s Aurora?” I taunted, stepping closer to him, “I’ll tell this for free, Kaiden. Evie is not Aurora, and would never be.”
His eyes darkened, as he gripped on my arm, and he slammed me on the cold wall. I gasped as pain shot up through my spine.
“Aurora is not dead.” He growled, pressing his hand on my neck in an predatory manner. I coughed, slapping his arm violently, but he didn’t budge. His eyes had no emotions in them, and the veins around his neck throbbed in furu. He looked like he wouldn’t hesitate in killing me.
I nodded aggressive in agreement, a lone tear rolling down my cheek. He laughed cruelly, wiping it slowly, “Did I scare you, little witch?” He asked mockingly, rubbing the tear on his finger tips.
“Stay away from me, little witch. The next time I see you an inch close to me…” He trailed off, his threats hanging off on the air as he withdrew his hand slowly.
“I won’t hesitate to end your life even if it cost mine.” His voice dropped below room temperature as he whispered into my ear. I inhaled sharply as the weight of his words sank in. He backed away in satisfaction, his eyes burning into my face.
I blinked back the tears clouding my eyes, recovering from the shock. “It’s time for the ritual.” I muttered with a bitter smile before storming out of the room. Tears fell down my eyes as I walked into my room, slumping to the cold floor as I slammed the door shut.
Mom was right about him. I thought in despair.
