I spat out blood from my lips as another wave of electricity surged through my body. I chuckled bitterly, feeling the metallic taste of blood on my lips.
“Kill me.” I commanded, raising my head up to stare up at Jacob. Hours have passed by of watching Aurora burned to ashes. Hours of denial, and doubts.
“Are you deaf, Alpha?” Jacob, Keira’s guard asked rhetorically, “You won’t be dying anytime soon.”
“Kill me, please.” I repeated weakly, laughing at the irony. I never thought I would beg to die, but here I am. Asking to take my life.
“No, Kaiden.” Keira declined, wetting her lips. “I enjoy watching you beg for your life.” She smiled at me.
“You can’t die and I won’t allow you take your life.” She added with a hint of something dark in her eyes.
She snapped her fingers to Jacob and he exited the room with heavy steps. “What are you up to now, Keira?” I narrowed my eyes at her.
She shrugged, “Just taking precautions. I want to experience pain for a long time.” She spat in hatred.
I exhaled in disbelief. She was going extra to get her revenge. Was I this way in the past? The question echoed in my head. I knew I was a horrible person. Never thought my sister would be far worst than I was.
Her guard returned with two women trailing closely behind him. I narrowed my eyes, staring at them in suspicion and the mark on their hand. They were witches.
“What do you plan to do to me?” I questioned as the drew closer to me, surrounding me.
“Just a little spell to keep you alive.” She smiled, and I groaned in pain when they began chanting. My body trembled in pain, and my heart felt like it was bursting.
Sweats formed around my forehead, as I fell to the floor. “Stop, please.” I grumbled, rolling on the floor. I felt hot, more hotter than I have ever in my life.
I spun around, facing the ceiling unable to scream. I swallowed the pain, until the final backed away from me. My breathing was heavy, and my heart was racing, lying on the cold floor.
“It’s done.” A woman spoke, but my visions betrayed me. I couldn’t see them clearly, only hearing their words.
“Thank you, Leah.” Another voice responded, obviously Keira’s. “I’ll pay you handsomely for this.” She said in a soft voice devoid of the monster she had turned to.
“What did you do to me?” I whispered, feeling a surge of pain that had me burning up again.
I didn’t get a response only the fading footsteps of people echoed through in my ear. I shut my eyes, reopening them slowly, and staring at Keira’s direction. She was approaching me.
“Oh, brother.” She crouched to the ground, holding my hand with fake concern, “You won’t be able to die peacefully now.”
“You’ve been cursed, brother.” She announced. I clenched my fist as the words fell from her lips.
“You’ve been cursed to live for a long time…” she trailed, playing with my fingers as she added, “Without your wolf.”
“What?” I growled lowly in confusion. She didn’t respond, but the sly smile on her face spoke volume.

Chapter 127
I shock my head in denial. “Shadow?” I called in my head, but got no response. I waited patiently to feel my wolf, but it wasn’t there.
“Believe me now?” She asked mocking, scrambling to feet.
Slowly my eyes flickered to her in anger. “How could you?” I demanded with fury coursing through my body.

“A werewolf without a wolf? Just fucking kill me and end this madness.” I said in outrage, struggling to get up but another wave of pain sent me back on the floor.
Keira laughed in satisfaction, clapping her hands with a glimmering eyes. “I forgot to mention you will feel pain each time you get angry.” She said innocently.
I chuckled bitterly as the pain slowly subsided in my body. “I’m impressed, Keira.” I said sarcastically, scrambling to my feet.
“Thank you for the compliment, brother.” She said in response with a dramatically curtsy.
“Now get out.” She spat out in a serious tone, glancing at Ariel, she added. “Both of you.”
“Take him out of here.” She gave Ariel a pointed look. Ariel hadn’t said a word for a long time.
“Release them.” She ordered her guard–Jacob. He hummed in response, marching towards me and loosing the ropes around my body. I swung my fist, but my legs gave in to the weakness. I fell on my knees.
“Don’t try anything.” Jacob warned Ariel as he took off the cuffs around her wrists. Ariel slowly walked over to me, helping me to stand.
“You may decided to continue your relationship with Ariel.” Keira suggested with a shrug. We didn’t react to her words, and slowly walked out of the cell.
“Your car keys.” Jacob screamed down the passageway, running after us. He blocked our path, shoving the keys into Ariel’s hand.
“Anything more?” Ariel said for the first time in an stoic voice. He stepped aside, gesturing to leave.
Ariel guarded me out of the building ignoring the disdain gaze from the pack members. She helped me into the backseat of the car, and rushed into the front.
“I want revenge,” She announced, glancing at me through the front mirror. “I want Keira to pay for killing Ryker.” She added through glassy eyes.
He’s not dead, I wanted to tell her but my lips remained shut. I want revenge for your death too Aurora, but first I need to find how to break this curse casted on me.
