Chapter 126

Kaiden

Cold water on my face. I inhaled sharply, opening my eyes. I raised my hand up wipe off the droplets of water on my but the chains around my hand pulled me back. I gritted my teeth, jerking the chains binding me to the walls.

“That’s useless, Kaiden.” Keira remarked in a playful tone, walking into the waltzing into the room.

“What did you fucking do to me?” I sneered in a cold voice, shooting her a cold stare. Her guard threw the bucket, and grabbed my shirt angrily.

“Let go.” My eyes burned in anger, sizing him up. He wouldn’t be able to touch my shirt if I wasn’t weakened, though he was a good fighter.

“Let him go, Jacob.” Keira commanded in a quiet tone, crossing her legs on the chair.

“You’re lucky she’s in a good mood.” He said in a threat, withdrawing his hand slowly. He took a step back, but I knew he was waiting for a order.

“What happened to Ryker?” I questioned in curiosity, recalling the events of the past day.

“It’s none of your fucking business.” Keira snarled in response. He wasn’t dead.

I clicked my tongue, surveying the room. Ariel was lying on the floor with her eyes widely opened, but she wasn’t moving. She was still in shock.

My heart dropped in panic when I didn’t see her in the room. “Where the fuck is she?” I snapped angrily, snapping my neck to her.

“Guess where she is?” She asked innocently, twirling around a chair.

“Keira!” I roared, dragging the chains angrily. She laughed in satisfaction, turning her head towards me.

“Relax, brother. The fun is just starting.” She responded in mischief, curling her body in the chair.

I cut myself off when she walked in. Aurora entered the room with the help of Keira’s men. She looked beautiful even in her weak state. She smiled when her eyes landed on me, attempting to limp my direction. The guard slapped her across the face, pushing her to the floor.

“Don’t fucking touch her.” I growled, pushing my body forward to reach her, but she was a beyond my reach.

“We will do more than just touching, Kaiden.” Keira said in a harsh voice, pursing her lips on the air.

My eyes flickered at her in realization. “Don’t do this, Keira.” I whispered in plea,

She stared at me in confusion before bursting into a fit of laughter. “Ohh brother.”

“I may be cruel, but I don’t support rape.” She said in calm tone. I breathed in relief, staring at Aurora lying on the floor.

“Kaiden.” She whispered, stretching her hand. I gave her a reassuring smile.

I thought I would never see you, baby. She said through the mind link, coughing violently.

“Please let her go, Keira. I’ll do anything.” I wasn’t one to beg, but I was willing to save her.

“Let her go?” Keira asked in mockery, climbing out of the chair. She walked over to Aurora, stepping on her with her heels.

Aurora’s eyes paled in pain, biting her lips and staring at me with a tired smile.

“Keira stop.” I begged as she added another foot, putting her weight on Aurora’s body. She laughed sardonically in response, digging her heels deeper into her flesh. Crimson red seeped out of the area.

“I want you to watch attentively as I kill your her.” She announced, taking a step back from Aurora.

“You didn’t think I jerked her out of her slumber because I wanted her to live right, Kaiden?” She asked in mockery, waltzing

to me.

“I will do whatever you want me to do.” I said despair as she stood close, “Just please, don’t kill her.”

“I want you to kill her.” She announced sarcastically, “Can’t you do that?”

I chuckled bitterly, nodding my head. I was stupid to think she would actually want anything more than that. She was my exact replica in ways that made me hate myself.

“Open the doors.” She ordered, drawing my attention back to her. Jacob walked to the other end of the room, dragging a door I never knew existed open. My heart pounded in fear as I stared at the burning flame in the room.

“We can talk about this.” I muttered with hopeful eyes, swallowing the lump on throat. She was going to throw Aurora in it.

“Mmm…” She trailed off, blinking her eyes as though in deep thought, and for a second, I was hopeful.

She flashed me a perfect grin after the long silence, “Throw her in.” She ordered in a cold voice, walking away.

The guard grabbed her, dragging her towards the flaming fire. “Please don’t do this, Keira.” Ariel whispered in small voice.

“I prepared that room specially for this purpose.” She responded ignoring our pleas.

My eyes locked with Aurora’s pale ones. She wasn’t scared. She knew she was going to die soon. I felt a tear roll down my chin staring at her. I wouldn’t save her in the end.

“Any last words?” Keira asked rhetorically.

I love Kaiden, She whispered with an intense gaze. My mouth felt to heavy to part open.

that’s a no.” Keira answered her own question waving them off.

“Noo!” I cried in despair as her body was thrown into the fire.

Another tear wet my face as her screams of agony tore through the room tormenting me in the worst way. Slowly, her tears died down as her body burned in the fire until it was unrecognizable.

“Now that was quite the show.” Keira muttered in excitement. I stared at the flaming burning in sadness.

“I won’t kill you, brother. I want…” her voice faded off in my ears. Aurora was dead. I couldn’t save her…I couldn’t protect her in the end. More sobs escaped my lips as the realization hit me.

“Let’s go, Jacob.” Keira said. I heard her fading footsteps along across the passageway.

Aurora was dead, and it was my fault.
