Gerald was dead now which meant I could never become a werewolf. It was Aurora’s fault. I’m certain she spiked something in her blood that made him react harshly to it. He was getting better. I could swear I saw improvement and all of a sudden. he’s heart stopped beating. I screamed in anger as I stormed into my room, throwing everything to ground.

“Another way?” I sneered, spinning around to look at him. “Can’t you see it’s all over?” I added bitterly, pushing away his hand that dared to come up to my face

I pushed his hand off my face, pacing around the room as I thought of ways to me anymore. Ariel had filled that empty space.

I hated Ariel for having Ryker even before I did. I had to reject him cause he had lingering feeling for her which was utterly disgusting, and I was starting to fall for Gerald. To think after letting her have him, she still went behind my back, and betray my trust like that.

“Mmm.” He trailed off, massaging his jaw and staring up at the ceiling in deep thought. I waited patiently for his brilliant idea. Jacob was a lot smarter than he was giving credit for. I wouldn’t be here if not for his smartness and his loyalty to me.

“What if he suddenly loses his memories?” He shrugged with a dark glint his eyes.

“Love his memory.” I repeated, a cruel smile making its way to my face as I processed the idea. It wasn’t impossible, but it was difficult. I would need the witches help to make it happen.

“Happy I could be of help” He bowed respectfully, seeing the pleased look on my face.

“Aurora?” I digressed with creased eyebrows. I cared less about her well–being, but she discovered my secret. The face behind the mask.

“She’s in the park hospital” He responded in deep thoughts. She was good as dead, and useless to me now. But I could use her to lure Kaiden here, and have him watch his mate die in the most cruel way.

“I feel so weak to walk” I stretched my body with a yawn, faking tiredness. He narrowed his eyes in suspicion, watching me intensely.

“Suit yourself then.” He finally after a long pause, storming out of the room.

“This better be worth it, Jacob or I swear-” He placed his index on my lips, shutting me up.

“Sit” He ordered, nodding to the bed. I glared at him, pushing off his hand.

“You don’t call me Luna and command me.” I hissed in defiance, crossing my arms, and demanding respect.

“Sit, please.” He corrected, rubbing the back of his need. I hummed, slowly sitting on the bed.

“You’re gonna die.” He announced shocking me. I stared at him in confusion, maybe he finally lost his mind.

“We both know the former Alpha doesn’t like you and has planned your death after he gets what he wants.” He explained causing my heart to palpitate with fear. Was his hatred for me that deep?

“What do I do?” I cried helplessly. I had nowhere to run to right now.

“You can’t do anything, Jane. If you run, he will find out that someone told you about his plans, and that puts me in danger.” He stated nonchalantly.

“I don’t think you told me all this cause you wanted me dead” I said bitterly with tears blurring my eyes
