Days went by and nothing changed. I was still locked up in the Torrence pack’s cell. I hadn’t expected to see Aurora here. neither did she say how she ended up in such state. She was no longer here with me, they had taken her somewhere else. I wouldn’t help but miss her company, it was nice having someone to share your distress with

I doubted everything was fine with the pack. I was yet to be found by Ryker, and it was reasonably to believe Aurora was still here. I had heard the whispers from the guards about a certain human. Kaiden wouldn’t allow his mate stay here for that long if everything was okay.

I sucked in breath as I felt my eyes blurring from the hunger. My stomach churned and I felt a metallic taste in my mouth. It was bad enough I was stuck here, but starving a pregnant woman? I had suspected I was with a child just before the kidnap however I didn’t make much of it. The signs turned visible with the constant vomiting and my heightened sense of smell. I barely ate the meals given to me.

Beads of sweat formed around my forehead as I gripped on my gown tightly. I tried to call out to the guards stationed in front of the cell, but no words came out of my mouth. I crawled slowly over the door, stretching my hands to hit the door before I gave in to the darkness, falling to the floor.

I gasped sharply as my eyes fluttered opened. I was in no longer in that cell. The aroma of food were the first thing that stuck to my nose, causing my stomach to rumble in hunger. I jerked up from the bed in eagerness, scanning the luxurious room. I took a step closer to the set table in front of me. I halted when I saw a woman sitting by the corner of the room, staring at me intently with a mask on. Though she had a mask on her face, 1 could her lips curling up in an uneasy smile.

“Aren’t you hungry anymore?” She asked rhetorically pointing to the dishes. I was hungry, no starving was the right word, hut I had to be mindful of my surroundings.

“You didn’t possibly think I poisoned it, right?” Her eyes wrinkled from an obvious smile. I didn’t responded, my eyes watching her intensely, trying to find her in my memories. She wasn’t Rhea,

She nodded with a hint of disappointment, slowly walking over to me. “Since you don’t appreciate the kind gesture, I guess I will dispose it.” She informed, grabbing the tray.

I pulled the other end eagerly before she would take a step. “I’ll eat.” I said curtly.

She glared at me before slapping my hands off the tray. “If you don’t value yourself at least think about that little baby in there.” She said with mock concern, placing hack the tray on the table.

“How did you.” I trailed off in shock, my mouth hanging open. I hadn’t told anybody about it except for Aurora. Maybe she called for the doctor after I collapsed. That was the only explanation.

She laughed darkly, forcing me to sit in the bed. “Eat your food, Ariel.” She ordered, forcing the spoon to my hand.

She retreated back to her chair on the other end, urging me to proceed. I narrowed my eyes in suspicion, staring between her and the dish in front of me. Why was she insisting on eating?

“The cell has a surveillance camera.” She responded to my earlier question. I stared at her in confusion before it hit me. I had puked the first time they gave me food..but that was days back, probably my second day in that cell

“You starved me knowing I was pregnant? Why exactly do you hate me? And why am I even here?” 1 question with at hardened gaze.

“Just who are you? I snapped angrily

“Does it matter?” She asked, slowly making her way towards me

“If she were still alive, you wouldn’t have been with Ryker or even had that child.” Her eyes went to my stomach before coming back up to my face

“Why do you care about what happened Keira?” I shook my head in frustration.

“I don’t. I just wish to learn how to be more batchy like you are.” She spat coldly. She was a nut job.

“Now eat up” She slapped my check lightly, “Waste thuat again, and I’ll kill you” She threatened before storming out of the room leaving me startled,
