“Why did you let him go. Alpha!” Silas had asked numerous times after I set Kaiden free.
I couldn’t bring myself to kill him at that time. His words rubbed off my ego in the wrong way and made me doubt what 1 bebeved to know
The name alpha feht off to me. I was used to being a beta and never cared about becoming an alpha until Kaiden turned selfish I wanted this position to make him feel useless considering how he craved the respect that came with being an Alpha That was all he cared about until Aurora.
I was bitter for years after Keira died, 1 blamed Ariel for exposing her, and myself for my inability to stop her madness. I found my parents claims of Keira shooting herself dead off Keira’s loved her life too much to kill herself and why had they taken her to the hospital instead of Kasden! I started searching for answers everywhere inclusive of Torrence park. Alpha Clarke told me everything that transpired that might. I didn’t believe them at first, until he showed me the gun used to fire the bullet. I had been Kaiden’s and that was when I started working with them.
I stopped working for Torrence pack after I found Ariel. I only started again with Derek’s death. Everything seemed to fall into place. Kaiden was now weak and could easily be killed
“Alpha” Silas said as he walked into the room. I glanced up from the table and stare at him with frustration.
Silas wasn’t on my side, he’s on theirs. He had always been working for them, but k never suspected him neither did I. until I started working with them. He was responsible for some of the pack members cath, and it happen to make them suspect Kaiden. That was why I could easily sway them. Kaiden was brutal, and I wasn’t. I killed Greg back then so he wouldn’t expose me to Kaiden
“What is it” I questioned, raising the glass to my lips.
“Your parents wish to see you” He informed and I nodded before waving him off.
My parents walked into the room shortly with anger visible on their faces. Yes, they might have lied to me, but we were still family and I had to protect them. I brought them back to the pack house after handing Aurora over. I had been with Kaiden for years to know how he would act so I didn’t take chances.
“We need to talk son. My dad announced in stern voice, sitting in the bed and my mom followed suite.
“We have nothing to talk about.” I responded dismissively, pouring another shot of vodka into my glass.
“You need to stop this madness. Ryker my mom announced in a soft tone, staring at me with a pleading eyes.
“What madness. Mom” I feigned ignorance with a twisted smile.
She sighed. “Kaiden didn’t kill Keira” She said curtly, hoping I would believe her.
“She killed herself? Because Kaiden said otherwise.” I said with a sly smile. They should have given same story if they planned on lying to me

“Ryker honey. My mom said with a sighed, rubbing the back of her neck. “You are getting it all wrong.” She insisted, gently placing her hand in my shoulder.
I laughed emptily. “T’m starting to believe Kaiden’s your son” I shook my head in disappointment. It had always been that way from our childhood, but I never cared about it. They always cared about Kaiden and their obligations towards his Family
“How can you say that?” My dad snapped, drawing closer to me. “You are going to end up hurting yourself if you continue like this” He warned, grabbing my injured hand and pulling off the pieces of glasses which had cut in

“Why are you joining hands with them?” My mom whispered, nodding at the guard at the door. I chuckled without giving her a response
“You are ruining this pack by letting those traitors infiltrate it.” She warned with a pity in her eyes.
That was what they all believed, that I wanted them here, but I didn’t. They said everyt comes with a price and that was the price for helping me. I could naturally take out Kaiden without their help, but there was a proon–Aurora. Aurora was a mini witch and I couldn’t possible fight a person who could kill me without snapping a finger. They had somehow managed to find her weakness.
“Why are you being blind to the truth i front of you?” My mom snapped in irritation, “Can’t you see you are being used?”
I knew they were using me to become the most powerful, but I didn’t care. If I could make Kaiden pay for everything and see Ariel again then I would keep getting used.
“It’s not a crime to get used right?” I responded sarcastically.
“You are helping the people who are responsible for Ariel’s disappearance.” My dad shook his head in disappointment.
“Ask yourself who benefited the most here?” My mother interjected, “I hope you regain your senses before it’s too late.” My mom said with concern before storming out of the room with my Dad trailing behind here.
I slumped to the bed as their words lingered around the air, taunting me. The exact same words Kaiden had said to me. Was I really being blinded by bitterness to see the truth? I arched my head to the door to see guard staring at me.
